A very nice hotel as a structure, located in a way not very convenient for the main attractions. They could include fins in snorkeling and give everything for more than 1 hour a day: these are very strange limitations for a structure of this level. It is probably still the best resort on the island of Tahiti

InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa
Because I had to wait for another flight to my destination the next day, I just stayed one night on the way.
I didn’t experience it carefully....but I did appreciate the beautiful landscape and the service of the staff.

This hotel is beyond overpriced. I thought it was going to be a luxory hotel stay with 5* service but it wasnt.
The room is as bog standard is it comes. The ocean view was really a partial view. The room smelt bad, like damp and the shower was the most complicated thing to work and the shower head could never be worked, only the rain shower option was doable.
Whats worse is the room we were given was above the end of the restaurant. The restaurant workers would smoke below our balcony and that would waft up to our balcony.
Moreover, it was a birthday stay and not once did the hotel do anything to recognize the birthday. Other hotels I have stayed in, in the past, would always provide complimentary cake or dessert or treats for a birthday. This hotel did absoultely nothing, despitw being informed.
I would love to know how they get away with charging 5* prices without the 5* service.
Highly dissappointing. The corridoors also are not kept up to standard and finding random holes in the ground was common.

The hotel is really old, probably from the 1990s; especially the bathroom, the toilet breaks down as soon as you press it.
The hotel is not big and there is not much to do. When I went there, there were no projects on the shore because of the wind. I booked a tour around the island, but many places were closed due to strong winds. The strange thing is that it is understandable that outdoor places are closed, but why are museums also closed?
Hotel breakfast and dinner were average
If you want to stay on the main island, it is not as good as Hilton in terms of cost performance.

J'ai pris la journée Day 1 : super accueil pour passer la journée la bas : vous avez accès à la piscine, au lagoo, serviettes, créme solaire, eau, et un repas (plat et dessert). Tout a été parfait sauf le repas, nous avons attendu 1 heure pour manger sans explication et sans geste pour s'excuser ! Vu le standing ce n'est pas correct Sinon super lieu

Nous avons réservé une soirée Heiva des danses et culture tahitiennes avec dîner buffet. Arrivant d'excursion 4x4, nous avons demandé un endroit où nous pourrions changer de tenue. L'hôtel est si minuscule .... qu'on nous a dirigées vers les toilettes du hall d'entrée. Quelle classe... Une fois changées avec robe, escarpin et collier de perles, le regard a changé envers nous. Bien triste expérience. La suite est du même acabit, 3/4 d'heure de danse avec une petite dizaine de danseurs. Quelle déception, au Heiva, ils sont 200 sur scène me semble-t-il. De plus , pas d'estrade donc seul le premier rang des tables voyait. Buffet correct, même si je pensais trouver des mets raffinés. Coût de la soirée 100€ avec un verre de vin. Attrape touristes en plein. Sauvez vous avant. Par malheur, nous avons réservé une chambre le 26, l'hôtel nous ayant été recommandé comme le meilleur de Tahiti. Nous avons donc cassé notre tirelire pour notre dernière nuit à Tahiti. Quelle erreur, car nous avons constaté que l'hôtel est en travaux, il semble que la piscine est fermée. Pourquoi ce n'est pas signalé, pourquoi les prix ne sont pas réduits en conséquence ? Je compléterai mon avis suite à notre seconde visite.
