Exmouth Escape Resort

This was an unexpected but thoroughly delightful stay, we needed a break from camping in the strong winds and this was absolute luxury.

After an amazing stay in 2021, this place has gone downhill. The service is substandard, the staff will do the minimum possible, the resort is overpriced for what you receive & I will no longer recommend it to people

Review by an older couple with small mobility issues. At a cost of $400 a night, our one bedroom unit was overpriced and small. There was inadequate room for suitcases and no suitcase stands. Travellers with mobility issues would find the three steps up to the unit potentially difficult, there being no ramp. On a wet day we found the cover of the outside area was leaky when transporting items from the car to the front door. The door opens outwards and you can’t use the top step. I couldn’t get the security door to stay in the open position. There is limited Wi-Fi here. The fridge is small and it’s hard to reach the bottom of it, while on the other hand it’s difficult to reach the top of the crockery cupboard. There are no hooks in the bathroom for hanging towels etc. The unit has good air-conditioning. There is a washing machine but no dryer and no outside drying and the clothes horse is broken although still usable. There is a label on top of the washing machine which doesn’t make sense. On the other hand the designers have done their best to make efficient use of limited space.

We stayed here 5 nights. It is clean but very basic. Would have preferred a higher level of comfort but this was all that was available. We wanted to stay at Mantarays but it was unfortunately fully booked. Couch uncomfortable. One tissue in box in bathroom neatly folded!
