Excellent service from the lovely gentleman at reception. He was welcoming and informative. Room was clean with everything we needed and well serviced. We had a cocktail in the bar before we went to bed and it was perfect!

3 night stay in Exmouth
Great location. Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. Unfortunately next door neighbors were arguing and we could hear very clearly, so I would say the soundproofing isn’t great.

Lovely 4 night stay in this historic hotel, with a fantastic location, walking distance to the train station, sea front & town. Friendly, accommodating staff. The restaurant & bar area were tastefully decorated. Breakfast was tasty & plentiful. We'll be back!

Great value for money. It’s an old building so heating took a while to warm up but was lovely and toasty over night. Huge family room. Great location near town and beach. Lovely services from reception- polite and friendly and let us check in a little early.

For the £48 I paid it was excellent value for money. I had a lovely large room with see views. It was clean and the window opened so that I could take in the sea air. The bathroom was clean and fresh. The bed was comfy, I slept sound and woke to the dawn chorus. Didn't have breakfast as I didn't need to.

We checked in at 2pm and the big room was freezing, we went and told reception and he said the heating comes on at 3pm…why when you can check in an hour earlier? It’s January, it’s by the sea and it’s cold! The heating barely came on at 3 and was off again at 4pm 🤷♀️ Also the radiator wasn’t big enough for the room. There was no heating in the bathroom and the shower had barely any pressure! We have an amazing shower at home so when we are away we want that or better! I believe it’s recently changed hands so maybe there are teething problems. The staff are very friendly, it was spotlessly clean and the bed big and comfy! However the decor was tired and the fittings were a mismatch. There is no light over the dressing table mirror and it’s too cold to do make up in the bathroom. The breakfast was very average, not good quality ingredients which is a shame as the dining room is a lovely room but yet again cold. The bar nice but no one in there as cold so uninviting. A few tweaks and I’m sure it could be lovely. Lovely to have a sea view. Sadly we won’t be back to this hotel but we will be back to gorgeous Exmouth.
