Premier Inn Exmouth Seafront

Good hotel with good staff, food very good. Comfortable rooms with good facilities. We had the meal deal, good breakfast & plenty of choice on the menu for the evening meal. Great position on the waterfront. Have used this hotel before & we will return.

I didn’t expect a huge room for a standard but this was so small! Difficult to sit at the desk/dressing table because it’s so close to the end of the bed. The breakfast was decidedly underwhelming, almost cold beans, bacon and tomato with the mushrooms looking a week old at least. It was the same both days. Had dinner one evening, not the best I’ve ever eaten. The portion of chips served with my husband’s pie was pitiful. Staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing

Great stay as always. The staff were particularly good with looking after my son’s allergies, they took a few minutes to understand the allergens, showed us the allergens book and reassured us that the kitchen would prepare his meal separately. The staff do seem to work particularly hard at this hotel as it always seems busy when we visit, despite this the the team are always friendly and helpful, a real credit to Premier Inn and Exmouth.

Stayed here on several occasions and never been disappointed, location is perfect, car park at the rear- charged but not a problem. This time however I can’t give it 5 stars purely because the service was not at the usual standard I’ve previously experienced. The receptionist when we checked in was clearly fed up, not particularly friendly in fact almost sarcastic at times. Breakfast the next morning was a shambles 2 staff running round doing everything from manning reception, booking people in for meals and running the dining room. As a result tables were left uncleared and messy, the buffet not replenished, having to hunt for cutlery and side plates, no coffee as both machines empty needed refilling ,it’s not the staffs fault, there’s clearly not enough of them so they’re just fed up, as a result we didn’t book breakfast for the following morning and went elsewhere. Come on premier inn, sort this out and employ more staff especially during school holidays. We will still return as we love the location but wouldn’t bother with breakfast

This hotel is ideally situated for the seafront, and there is a spacious car park but there is an extra charge.. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there is a nice sized bar and restaurant area. The best rooms are those with a view of the seafront, but you have to book a superior room to get that. The seafront cafes, bars and entertainments are all within a very short walking distance of the hotel (the nearest pub is literally next door). These are all quite 'seasidey', and if you want a better quality pub or restaurant you will need to walk about half a mile up a slight incline to get to the town centre, where there are plenty of choices. As with all Premier Inns, the free wifi provided has a deliberately poor and unreliable signal to try to make you pay for 'ultimate' wifi. As a vegetarian, I found the choices for the evening meal rather poor. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

We stayed in a sea view room in the midst of the of the worst named storms to hit the south west. It was dramatic outside, inside was cosy and safe. We snuggled in bed watching the sea get angrier. Hotel is good, clean and spacious, breakfast great and really catered for gluten-free vegans!
