If you’re looking for a period hotel set in 50s decor then is it, as though time just stood still?

I’m always happy with the leisure centre and spa, however the place isn’t really that well looked after and def not new. There was a noise all night that seemed to have to do with the ventilation system or something. It’s not the first time I stayed here so pretty sure it had to do with the location of the specific room I stayed at 122

Experience was excellent the only thing about this hotel is the beds are very uncomfortable especially room 8 the mattress was springy and the pillows was rock hard and has gave me a really sore neck for 2 days! But a bit pricey for what you get very out of date cleanish some of the rooms we stayed in just needs a refurb and a deep clean.

We chooses this place as it looks good on booking page. When you arrive the building looks very neglected.Be aware parking might be a problem too. Check in was straightforward and very friendly.Apartment we had was very dated, very much neglected and had old smell that did not go away.I dont think they have done any TLC for years in here. Carpets, sofa, curtains are old, dirty and it smells so bad. Beds has the worst mattress and those pillows I would rather not even call pillows. Slept really bad, my whole body is aching.It could be such a lovely place with beautiful sea views if they just look after it but whoever owns it has interest only to make money but not to invest to make it comfortable, clean etc. For what is it is just way too overpriced! Big shame!

We had the best time this afternoon. My friend and I had a spa afternoon. The pools are lovely and the staff were amazing. We will certainly do this again. Well done Devoncourt. The cream tea was delicious and the service was excellent. A lovely time.

I cant say best part as It was all fantastic. I have mobility problems but was allocated the type of quiet room I asked for. Staff extremely pleasant and attentive. But Bryony at reception was, if such a thing possible, the star. Although I had booked a room was allocated apartment. Bedroom king size bed and single bed, bathroom , kitchen and lounge overlooking well laid out gardens(?) park Had dinner there and breakfast. Very happy with cost and the food. Hope I can go there again...depends not only on my health but unfortunately if the plans get the go ahead and this little corner of Exmouth is flattened
