I am writing to share my recent experience at the DoubleTree in Evansville, IN. I stayed at the hotel for one night, and upon checking out, I realized an hour later that I had left my clothes in the closet. I immediately called the hotel, and the front desk mentioned they would check with housekeeping and get back to me. However, this was on a Friday, and I did not receive any follow-up. Determined to retrieve my belongings, I called again on Saturday, only to receive the same response from the front desk. This pattern continued over the next several days, from Sunday through to next Wednesday. Each time, I was told the issue would be checked with housekeeping, but no one got back to me. Eventually, I was directed to speak with the manager, who then transferred me directly to the housekeeping extension. When I finally managed to speak with someone in Housekeeping, they informed me that no clothes were found – a response that, unfortunately, did not come as a surprise given the situation. As a Lifetime Diamond member, I found the treatment and handling of this situation appalling and unprofessional. It raises concern about how customers without such status might be treated. With so many other hotel options around Evansville, I am hesitant to waste my time at this location again.

The lady at the front desk wasn’t very friendly. When We called the front desk for shower gel, as we there wasn’t any in our shower, I felt like we were bothering her. Otherwise our stay was nice.

Great Stay Very nice hotel. some of the furniture was a bit beat up but overall condition good. Only complaint is that there was no toilet paper stocked in our bathroom.

The best part about this hotel for me was not having to stand stand in the long line me to get into the concert at the Ford Center. You just walk through the breeze way and show your ticket and you are in.

Hotel was excellent for convenience to the Ford Center but our check-in was delayed for over an hour from the 3 pm posted time. Staff was not equppied to handle the volume of folks arriving and did a poor job of communicating with us

Do not order room service, Bring your own water, plan to dust your room. Room service delivered 30 min after window of time requested in a foam container in plastic bag - coated with grease on the bottom. No water and no soda at the front counter - said their cooler was broken. Room was dusty on every surface.
