Hampton Inn Evansville

This is a well run hotel. The staff, Dee, was very friendly and efficient. Our room was clean and quiet. We loved the location within walking distance of a Texas Roadhouse. The morning breakfast was professionally prepared and presented. Great job by all!

If you are hoping to get in a workout during your stay, I recommend looking elsewhere. The software on the Peleton bike was not working, the treadmill belt would pause at random iterations (dangerous!), and no water or stretching mats were available. The room and bed were fine.

I enjoyed my usual great stay.  Comfortable bed, quiet room, great breakfast and friendly staff.  I was pleased to find a recumbent bike in the Fitness Center (many Hilton properties have replaced them with Pelotons).  Evansville Manager: please keep the recumbent bike.

Hilton brand is our go to….but this stay was very disappointing. There was no thermostat in the room. We tried to cool the room off with the knob on the actual unit, but the room never cooled. The breakfast was such a disappointment. Only light roast coffee (watery). The fruit was never put out. The juice machine wasn’t working. The oatmeal was the only item that tasted the way it was supposed to, but the usual toppings that accompany the oatmeal were not out. The yogurt was warm. The room was clean, but there were no bottles of lotion, etc that is usually in the rooms. I wish we would have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn just across the parking lot.

Had the pleasure of staying at this property for one night on business. Check in was fast friendly and effortless. The room was large, clean and up to date. Plenty of room to spread out and fully equipped for comfort, microwave, desk, luggage stand, chair, etc. plenty of well placed outlets to charge your “toys”. The Bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Toiletries were plentiful and good quality. Would have given 5 stars except for two things. Water pressure could have been better and the towels were worn. The continental breakfast has many choices for the Kosher consumer, whole fruit, dry cereal, and coffee.

This was one of the worst Hamptons I have ever stayed in and I'm gold (past diamond member). As stated, front entrance was under construction with small signs in major rainstorm when we arrived to find entrance. Should have been on Hilton site to notify before booking? This also has smallest most cramped breakfast area with minimal options. Was baseball tournament when there and hard to get anything to eat. See pictures for waffle station stuck in cramped corner. Also had fire alarm go off in room across from us and took staff over 1 hour to silence it. They also installed sheets in bed sideways so they didn't fit right and were too short. Worse yet, I waited awhile to write this review as I sent email to general manager and head of housekeeping a week ago on these issues. No response as of date. I'm not a person that gives a lot of bad reviews oas the staff will usually address them when contacted but this hotel is not up to Hilton/Hampton standards.

The front of the hotel is under construction. We would NOT have stayed here had we known this when we called in for reservations shortly before arrival. It was raining hard and we were soaked by the time we brought in our things from the parking lot due to not being able to drive up to the hotel with the machinery in the way. While we aren't made of sugar and did not melt, we were tired and not pleased that the drilling on the project commenced at 7am the next day (Saturday morning.) The rooms were clean and the beds were a welcome comfort after a long day of traveling. The toilet didn't flush properly, so luckily, my husband knew how to deal with it to get by. We stayed for a quick bite of the free breakfast (regular free breakfast fare...waffles, cereal, etc.) I would've had toast but there was no bread. Some sort of youth group was staying there and cleaned them out of food, lol.

Stayed here several times previously. Inn is in a good location with good choices for dining nearby. Problem on this reservation was that the extensive outer renovations taking place. While every hotel needs to do renovations, the management has a responsibility to advise on website as well as the confirmation correspondence that these renovations are taking place and the dates such is occurring. Honesty and transparency are a MUST! No one wants to drive up to a hotel to find large cranes against the building, the front entrance blocked off and large areas of the parking lot blocked and construction equipment scattered around. Certainly we found it odd that this renovation was occurring in the middle of the summer, a peak tourist time. If you are considering this inn, suggest you check on renovation status. There are many other choices nearby including a HIlton Garden Inn.

We enjoyed our recent stay at Hampton Inn Evansville. Bed was firm yet soft. Terri and kitchen staff did a great job with large selection of breakfast items including melon chunks with pineapple and grapes, not just the regular hotel apples and bananas; wrapped apples were available all hours in lobby. Loads of seating for dining and visiting in the lobby with very pretty, updated decor. The construction outside made things just a little inconvenient during work hours, but it wasn't bad at all. In spite of all businesses dealing with staffing issues, all our needs were taken care of. Some ball-team guests put piles of trash and towels in the hallway -after housekeeping left- as if there were room service at all hours to clean it up, so that was not pleasant for other guests, but should not be a poor reflection on the hotel. I thought the hotel staff- like Torrie (head of housekeeping?)- were very responsive to guest needs, and the hotel seemed full of guests- a lot of activity. Nice pool and patio area, even a fishing pond beside the hotel. BTW, the hotel fitness room had more equipment than the usual cardio - including dumbbells and medicine balls. All in all, a very enjoyable stay!
