Escalante Golf is only interested in making money for rich people and not allowing owners to enjoy why they purchased property here in the first place. Canada traffic was a huge part of the success for this course when it was semi-private, while also providing the local community with tourism dollars. That will be gone. Don’t buy here. It will die.

We weren’t sure what to expect of this resort deep in the mountains of Montana but when we arrived we were definitely impressed. The cabin we stayed in was beautifully decorated and had an amazing, huge living room, dining area, and big kitchen. Our room was appointed nicely with lovely decor. There was a hot tub right outside our room. We could walk across the road to the golf shop and dining area. The golf shop staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed their merchandise selection. Head pro, Jared Rogers, set us up with a lovely day of golf on their incredible course and gave us lots of information about things to do in the area. Sherry made sure we had everything we needed in our room. Tina in the restaurant was a great representative because she was friendly and professional. The food was delicious. Our only regret is we aren’t staying longer. We can see why this is the #1 golf course in Montana.

The property is amazing with great amenities surrounded by the most gorgeous scenery. The staff is friendly. The only note I have is about the easiness of access. Since we were arriving after 5pm, which was the time the office closes , the check in instructions were left at the main gate but there were no maps of the area and it took us over an hour to find the designated townhome. Other than that we had a really great time.

We stayed at the Wilderness Club in July and were very disappointed. The scenery is gorgeous. The "cottage" we stayed in was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable. The website is very misleading and they need to fix it. This place is interested in selling homes to people. It's really more like an airbnb. It is not a resort under any standard measure. The lake was closed and it seems that it has been for a long time. A typical resort would at least suggest alternate activities if the lake was closed. The people at the front desk always seemed to be busy with something but not helping people. It's a beautiful facade, just like Instagram.
