We travelled to Surville as an end destination based just on reviews we’d read here. Even though the reviews were great, it exceeded expectations. It’s hard to describe just how warmly welcoming the proprietors, Camille, Hugues and their delightful children were. It really did feel like staying with friends. The hotel is set in beautiful, thoughtfully laid out grounds. We swam in the warm pool, played badminton, cycled and just enjoyed picnicking in the wild flower meadow. The hosts lent us bikes for some wonderful rural bike rides between medieval villages. The restaurant was central to the experience and we enjoyed high quality, thoughtful cooking. Indeed, my daughter commented that she’d never had such posh food and so many courses! The rooms were simple, immaculate and very comfortable. Everything is of such a high standard and so thoughtful. We will definitely come back as soon as we can!

Absolument exceptionnel - une vraie attention aux détails de la part des hôtes, l’hôtel est sublime. Je vous conseille de rester dîner. On s’y sent tout de suite comme chez soi, notamment grâce au feu de cheminée lancé en début de soirée et le fait que nombreux sont ceux qui passent du temps dans les salons communs. Le spa est par ailleurs très bien et très propre

Nous avons séjourné une semaine au manoir de Surville et nous avons tout apprécié. Outre un cadre enchanteur, les propriétaires ont su insuffler une atmosphère chaleureuse et familiale où chacun se sent bien. L’accessibilité PMR est bien pensée : parking, chambre et ensemble de la propriété. La table est digne d’un restaurant étoilé : encore bravo au chef. Merci à Laurie pour le merveilleux moment passé au SPA. Pour finir un grand merci à l’ensemble de l’équipe pour leur gentillesse et leur professionnalisme.

Camille and Hugues, who own and run Le Manoir have thought of everything. We had the most glorious stay in exceptional surroundings and comfort. It could not have been nicer. Wonderful food and a superb wine list matched by the beautiful buildings, gardens and superb swimming pool.

Après plusieurs séjours en 2023, nous sommes revenu passé 3 jours à nouveau au Manoir de Surville du 22 au 25 aout 2023 ( denis & pascale ). A nouveau, un grand bravo à Camille & Hugues pour avoir réalisé ce magnifique havre de paix avec une atmosphère familiale. Merci pour leur accueil chaleureux. L’endroit est tout simplement magnifique. Les chambres sont très confortables et propres. Nous avons testé le diner gastronomique : excellent de l’entrée au dessert avec un service très professionnel et souriant – Un grand bravo à l’excellent chef cuisinier Mathieu. La piscine est également très agréable – bien protégée et entourée d'une superbe végétation pour être au calme. Félicitations encore à toute l’équipe pour leur professionnalisme et gentillesse. Tout le monde est au top. Excellent en tout point. Sans aucun doute, nous reviendrons prochainement dans ce lieu magique de SURVILLE.

I wish we had been able to stay longer here than 2 nights. The surroundings were beautiful and with such attention to sustainability. We enjoyed playing croquet (being English!), swimming and having a picnic (made by Camille) in the lovely grounds. The food in teh restaurant was delicious - and the chef and waiting staff were so kind to our youngest who was not feeling great and immediately suggested a very plain meal which they produced for him. We will return for longer and with a less poorly son! Nothing was too much trouble - and the honesty bar (with its huge selection of gin ;-) was a welcome change and gave a homely feel.
