What a little gem. We had a friends catch up and stayed here. It's so close to everything. 1 block from the Palm beach ferry, 2 blocks from Ettalong shopping centre. The room was clean and tidy with the usual inclusions of microwave toaster jug, tea and coffee. The beds were very comfortable and the linen was good quality with several pillows so you can choose the one that's right for you. The bathroom is a bit old fashioned, however the shower had plenty of hot water.The accommodation is within the Galleria, a Greek / Italian inspired complex hosting lots of small shops, boutiques, restaurants, galleries, beautiful nick nacks and treasures, cafes and even a hat shop. The complex has it's own movie cinema. After booking in we went to bar Toto. Very fitting with the theme of a bygone era. Comfy old style lounge chairs, dimly lit, old movies on the big screen and great cocktails, however there are several other options if this isn't your scene. We chose to have breakfast at one of the cafe's within the complex. Very good crepes and coffee, then spent some time looking at the many and varied shops. Eric's hat shop is a must. He is so knowledgeable and friendly. He can explain the process of making hats and show you some of the tools used to make hats. It was so much fun trying on hats and taking photos. We grabbed lunch, pizzas and noodles which were both very good, and sat enjoying the live music in the centre of the complex. If you feel like a stroll, there's a concrete walking path along the waterfront from the ferry to Umina. Once you have parked your car, you really don't need to start it again until you are leaving. We had a wonderful mini break. The hotel was similar to an overseas resort. We were really surprised when we arrived. The gentleman at the front desk was helpful and organised. Housekeeper very helpful in finding me a hairdryer when there wasn’t one in our room. Loved the quaint shops and places to eat in the resort. Would love to return at some point.

I've been here many times and have always had good service unit Fri 23rd Sept 2022. I requested for a late check out as I have done in the past many times and advised I was happy to pay the $20 per hr late fee however the gentlemen behind the desk blatantly refused even when I pointed out that this was common practice and that I had done so in the past. I pointed out that it's even advertised in the welcome booklet. It's a shame that the 'new guy' treats regulars like that.

We have stayed here in a family room a few times now. The rooms were getting a bit tired, however this time our room had been renovated and the new bathroom was lovely. We love the quirky vibe of the hotel: its like you are in Italy. Love all the market shops below. Absolutely spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants. Something to look at around every corner in this hotel.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Ettalong Beach Tourist Resort for the second time, having enjoyed our first visit about a year ago. Prior to our arrival, we called the front desk to confirm our reservation and let them know we would be arriving around 8:30 PM due to work commitments. The receptionist kindly instructed us to collect our key from the key safe outside.
I also inquired about the possibility of a late checkout, given our late arrival, and was assured that we could stay in our room until 12 PM. However, to our surprise, shortly after 10 AM the following morning, a housekeeper entered our room without any prior notice, which was quite uncomfortable for both my partner and me.
When we went down to check out, an older gentleman at the front desk apologized for the mix-up. He explained that we should have called ahead again to confirm our late checkout, as the key to our room was still on the desk. It seems there may have been some miscommunication during the shift change, leading to this oversight.
Despite this hiccup, we still appreciate the resort’s beauty and amenities. We hope that better communication can be established at the front desk for future guests. Overall, we look forward to returning again and hope for a smoother experience next time!

Loved to stay at Ettalong Beach Tourist Resort! The Mediterranean-style vibe, friendly staff, and great location near the beach and cafes made it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were clean and full of character bathroom a big outdated…. , and the onsite shops and markets added a fun touch. Highly recommend!
