pros: comfortable bed, nice front desk people who can't really do much for you. Public areas are nice. Beautiful deck on second floor to see the mountains with lots of seating and gas fire pits. We didn't use it, but the pool looked gorgeous, and kids were really enjoying it. Arcade room (BYOM) and a room with tables and board games could keep kids occupied. There is a coffee station and hydration station open 24/7, which is nice, but doesn't make up for the poor breakfast. cons: This is an OLD place. Not sure what "modern" parts are included. Just feels old and dirty. There is very little "extra". The fridge was the tiniest I have ever seen, with a freezer section the size of a tissue box that only froze the parts that were contacting the ice. Didn't try the microwave or coffee maker. Small desk was the only surface other than about a foot of counterspace by the fridge/microwave. There was one chair at the desk, and one upholstered seat that looked so old I didn't feel comfortable sitting on it. So we needed to eat sitting on the bed. The room was not well cleaned, and the bathroom was even worse. The walls were dirty, the corners filthy, and there was a spiderweb with a huge spider just sitting under the sink, which was exposed. There is no lock on the bathroom door. You can hear what is going on in the hallway very clearly. The doors are not exactly flush, so there are cracks. While my husband was using the bathroom, a bug walked in under the door to visit. The BBQs are in the back, facing an old cracked parking lot and overgrowth from the neighbors. Not a pleasant place to enjoy dinner. We took the food back inside. Breakfast was highly unimpressive. We walked in and out. The straw that broke the camel's back was that when we walked into our room on the second day, it wasn't cleaned! When we went to the front desk to ask for cleaning, we were informed that they only do "light cleaning", which means that they take out the garbage. We told him that the garbage was still there, and they didn't step foot in the room. At that point, he told us that housekeeping was on a "by request" only. They didn't bother telling us that when we checked in, though, and there were indications that they would come clean. For one, there is a "do not disturb" door hanger. Not necessary if no-one is coming to clean. Even more compelling, there is a notice in the bathroom that "towels on the rack means I will reuse, towels on the floor means please replace". That sure sounds like they intend to come and clean. For almost $250 a night, this place was horrible!!! I wouldn't have paid $100 for such a gross place.
