Estérel Resort

I rarely write negative reviews, but our experience at this hotel/spa was so concerning that I feel compelled to warn others. What was meant to be a relaxing getaway quickly turned into a nightmare when we both became seriously ill with food poisoning after dining on the property. We informed the staff, expecting at least a basic level of concern or follow-up, and were told that we could return to the property, if we paid full price, they would upgrade our room. After the restaurant manager contacted us to take responsibility for the situation, he credited our supper. He equally personally invited us to return to the restaurant for a re-do of the dinner. Upon contacting the resort by telephone and email for over 2 months, somehow none of this was documented. It has mysteriously disappeared, although we have an email confirming this. This level of negligence is completely unacceptable, especially at an establishment that markets itself as a place of wellness and care. We feel frustrated and disappointed. I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking here — especially if you expect basic hygiene standards and responsible customer service. The staff was disinterested and communication was inconsistent at best. The lack of professionalism made an already stressful experience even worse. This has been going on since March 2025 and today, June 13th, was the breaking point. We thought that we would give them a second chance, but not after the horrible management that this establishment has.

Hot pools with different temperatures were great. Rooms were comfortable with a gas fireplace. The ROK was a great experience cooking are food on volcano stone. Definitely recommended for those trying to get away for a quick weekend getaway.
