H10 Estepona Palace

July 10th-17th 2025 We recently had a wonderful weeks holiday and stayed at H10 Estepona Palace. I can honestly say this was the best holiday we have ever had . We were greeted by friendly helpful welcoming staff ( and a glass of cava !) and from then on our stay was 5* ! The hotel is immaculate, the staff are friendly , the food is amazing, so much choice , and all the areas such as pool areas , bars , cosy seating , outdoor balcony’s and flowers are so well maintained . The staff were outside cleaning every morning and our rooms were serviced twice a day . There was always somewhere to sit at mealtimes ( there were 7 in our group and we always sat together ) the variety of food was amazing and never the same each mealtime , we were all inclusive and felt like we had more than enough to eat and drink any time we wanted . The entertainment staff were fantastic especially Victor and Tito who made everyone feel very welcome to join in all of the activities , aqua gym was a firm favourite with us all . The whole hotel had a really positive happy vibe and the staff seemed to take pride in their work and made everyone feel at ease . There were always enough sun loungers and enough space to swim in the pool and it never felt over crowded. The air conditioning was fantastic ( we have missed it since we have come home ! ) We can absolutely recommend a stay here, our family ranged from age 16-84 and we all felt the same , brilliant week Thankyou ! We will be back ☺️

Rooms/facilities: Given room that had a terrible smell in bathroom. Complained multiple times and was not resolved. Told we could change room but it would be separate beds. Finally changed rooms to a room that smelled like cooking every night. Staff were aware that I am pregnant and nauseous but this wasn’t considered. We couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of asking to move multiple times again. No basic coffee or water in rooms. Facilities are not 4 stars- communal toilets absolutely stink and are dirty by 10am. The place is so short staffed. Pool: You can’t get a towel at the pool, only from the reception but the staff won’t tell you this when you check in. You can only change towels in 2 separate 1 hour windows per day so unless you plan your holiday around making sure to be back at the hotel to change towel this doesn’t work. Also nobody will tell you this so you will use the same towels on your first 2 days. There is a rule that you cannot reserve sunbeds…until 10am and then towels go down immediately and stay there all day without staff taking any action. There were no free sunloungers at 12pm- but only 5% of the sunloungers had people actually sitting on them. Other reviews have noted staff will provide loungers. When we asked we were told not possible, the life guard was very rude and told us to try the beach instead. We went to the only 2 available sunbeds on the beach then realised that there was a WASP NEST under the parasol right above our heads. This left us with absolutely nowhere to go. The bar &food: This is a huge hotel with a huge pool area and you can only get drinks at a kiosk with 1 staff member serving. So expect to wait 30 mins for each drink. My partner waited 45 mins to be told the soft drink machine wasn’t working and that the hotel bar wasn’t open yet. The food is fine but had better options at 3 star hotels. The guests: Our last day coincided with the arrival of the SHEIN version of the cast of Geordie Shore. 20+ adults all smoking, drinking and screaming into megaphones in the pool used by young babies and toddlers annoying all the other guests for hours. We had planned to come back in September as we are regulars to Estepona but we will be looking at other hotels because of these issues.

Wow, what a holiday. I genuinely cannot recommend this hotel enough. From the food to the entertainment and activities, everything was always perfect. The highlight of the holiday has to be the animators Tito and Victor. They always did everything in their power to make us feel comfortable and welcome (even when we failed miserably at padel) thanks Tito!! These two deserve a raise for all of the hard work they have done x until next time ❤️

Beautiful hotel, very clean and the staff are great. Diego, front desk staff was professional and helpful in changing our room due to a bed problem. Champagne and chocolates for my birthday was a very thoughtful gesture. Cleaned to a high standard and all staff are friendly and cheerful, they work incredibly hard and despite some reviews saying you had to wait for drinks etc, we never encountered anything like that at all, just fast efficient service. The food is exceptional and lots of variety, the cooking station was excellent and cooked perfectly every time. Lots of fish and different meats, cheeses, breads, fruits and each meal time has fresh food, loads of choice and whatever time you visit the food is constantly being replenished. I do not think however that you should pay for still water with your meal especially when the water station is free. Water station is great and you can fill a bottle which is really convenient. Drinks are good quality and fairly priced. Entertainment good in the day and in the evening. Loads of sunbeds available and no reserving before 10.00 is good as it stops people placing towels and not appearing until lunch! The security will collect your belongings and take them away if you reserve and disappear before that time! Rooms are lovely and bed linen of great quality, beds comfortable and plenty of towels. Bathroom did need a little attention in places, tiling, grouting and seals but it was spotlessly clean. The safe is free and beach towels require no deposit but you can only change during two time slots during the day which is far from ideal and I’ve never encountered this before. Reception was helpful when we needed a picnic as our trip was leaving at 7.15am and whilst we didn’t know a picnic needed ordering before 8.00pm and we requested this at 10.00pm they went personally to the kitchen to try and arrange, we really appreciated this and the picnic was great with fresh sandwiches, fruit, crisps and drinks. Beach is by the pool and a little stoney, the beach to the left is better and a five minute walk. Pools were clean and a good temperature although the pool area does need a little work in places it didn’t make it any less beautiful. It’s a nice walk to the port and then on to town, you can take the bus and they are reliable and very cheap, turn left out of hotel for the stop. Petrol station great for snacks and drinks as there is no supermarket unless you go to town. Your armband is your door key, it’s a great idea and you can have this as your payment method too, the hotel is cashless for food and drinks. We hired hotel bikes and cycled all the way along the front, there’s a promenade and cycle paths. The bikes aren’t electric and they don’t have many gears so might be worth considering that if you aren’t used to cycling. Some hotel guests are extremely rude to the hotel staff and it’s totally unnecessary. A smile and some courtesy goes much further than being rude! Lifeguards are also not babysitters!!!

Stayed for a week in July as a couple. Read a couple of negative reviews beforehand and was a little apprehensive. Couldn't be more wrong. This hotel is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived the staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful and explained everything we needed to know. We upgraded to privilege and weren't disappointed. Our room was superb, with an amazing panoramic sea view, with Gibraltar and North Africa visible on a clear day. Little perks like the slippers and bathrobe, stocked mini fridge and a coffee machine in the room were nice touches. (We also requested a kettle which was brought up to us within 10 mins) The food in the Alboran restaurant (buffet) was excellent, always something different and always fresh cuts of meat and fish that were cooked to order, and rarely a queue to be seen. All drinks were branded drinks (Estrella on draught, bacardu, smirnoff, Gordon's, bombay sapphire, Jim beam) to name a few. Rarely a queue at any of the bars either. There was almost never a problem finding sun loungers, and even at the busiest times, requesting more sunbeds from the guys working around the pool meant that more were brought out. Amazing! The hotel is spotless, and all the staff are polite and friendly and helpful, and they all work incredibly hard. What more can I say again, other than that this was the best hotel we have ever stayed in, and we will definitely return.
