Ikos Andalusia

Loved the resort, as always an excellent welcome and room was ready on time. We went Deluxe and had a one Bedroom sea view suite with a huge balcony overlooking the Deluxe Pool and the Sea. Room 5310. The extras being Deluxe was worth it, we booked all our al a carte restaurants for each night before we arrived at our preferred time. Anaya for dinner was our favourite and Seasons for Breakfast and lunch was perfect. Brilliant service at the Deluxe Pool, team always went and got our preferred wine each day and got to know our preferences really quickly. There is a boardwalk going all the way to Estepona right in front of the resort, it’s flat and great for running, I ran 5-10k most mornings and it’s also an easy cycle (tip book a bike with a front basket for your bits and pieces, not all of them has one). Small Gym which is quiet, all equipment is Technogym. We had the upgraded Tesla for the day and went to Mijas and Cabopino, not too far both lovely places. Suite was beautiful, spacious and had every amenity you could wish for. Full bath, big shower, double sinks, etc. Coffee machine was well used, used the hand held steamer daily for clothes. Super comfy huge bed. Tattinger on arrival and our bar was restocked with our favourites daily. We left a daily note for housekeeping re our requests. We weren’t that keen on the main bar and used the reception bar mostly. As always only top line spirits. Entertainment was fun but you don’t go to IKOS for the night life. Service was impeccable throughout our stay. We used the WhatsApp a lot to make sure our preferred wines and cocktails were available. The wine tasting was excellent, Overall It’s pricey but it’s worth it and we’ve rebooked (again).

Beautiful hotel with exceptional service! Ikos resorts never disappoint, this one was my favourite. The garden room was so lovely, the food and drinks were incredible and we all enjoyed the heated pools! We were very lucky with the warm weather, but we honestly cannot wait to come back. Highly recommend this gorgeous place!

We had a great time. The staff are all fantastic from the reception the moment you arrive, the staff in the restaurants, the cleaners in the rooms and in particular Maria Rosa, Eleni and team in the Heroes Creche. We have already booked to go back next year.

I’m just updating my review after leaving a review half way through my stay. The best parts: - The food and drinks were excellent in every restaurant. - The facilities are exceptionally clean. - The staff are all very friendly and excellent with children. - There’s a lot to do. Hire a Tesla, go for a bike ride, catch a complimentary bus into one of the local towns, use the spa, football, basketball, netball, gym. All of the amenities are top quality too … for example, the gym looked like it had everything and there was an large outdoor gym too. I would say it’s the best hotel I’ve been too and a lot of the people we spoke to said it’s the best IKOS hotel they’ve stayed at. The parts that could be better: - Unfortunately, the weather has been poor for much of our stay and they only allow children in the indoor pool 1-2 hours a day when the weather is poor. On more than one occasion we got the WhatsApp through 15-45 mins after the pool was opened. - The main park is quite basic and not really suited for younger toddlers e.g. there’s no swings for little ones that stop them falling off the seat. Also, the floor is made of a really fine gravel which gets in the little ones shoes and hurts their feet. - The queue to be seated in the buffet can take a while to go down at peak times. Restaurants: - The beach bar food was great and the best food we had overall. - Chringitos was the best place we ate lunch and you only have to queue up 10 mins before to get we a seat. - Provence was excellent too and had the best views at sunset. Shoutouts: - Laura at the crèche was really kind and friendly and great with our toddler. - Miriam the cleaner was also very friendly and great with our toddler. - Samuel the waiter at Anaya and Michaela the waitress at Provence were both very attentive, friendly and stood out from the others. - I ended up sitting next to Pedro Barranco González, one of Sani IKOS’s directors, and his family. We got talking and it was refreshing to see someone so passionate about the company, their work and he went out of his way with recommendations and following up with me. You’ve got a great member of the team in Pedro.

My fiancé and i had the pleasure of staying here for my 50th birthday in November. It truly is wonderful from the rooms, staff and food. Everyone was attentive and nothing was too much bother. Fresco and Seasons were our favourite restaurants also the room service breakfast was a delight. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great however this never took away from us having a fabulous time. This was our 5th Ikos and the best! A special thank you to Pilar for sorting out an issue . Many thanks to you all.
