Stayed here for 8 days during the euro championship with a group of friends. Location is great for the station and the city centre. Rooms were large,clean and relatively quiet even though we were on a main road. I have to mention David on reception, really helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble to him and he was great with directions to a lot of places . Can’t comment on the breakfast as we were always away early most days and picked up something at the station. Hoping to return in December to take in the Christmas markets. We came for Euro 2024. Hotel is basic but comfortable. Be aware that it is next to busy road and the noise insulation is poor (at least in our room). We were woken by sirens every morning. The hotel is in a good location for Gelsenkerchen and Dortmund with easy transport links. It is also just a short walk to the main train station. Essen seemed quite rough from what we saw but there is a venue that has Pool and Bowling near to the hotel which I would recommend.

Prima hotel op loopafstand van het station en het overvloedige winkelaanbod van de binnenstad van Essen. Aan een drukke weg maar uitstekend geïsoleerd. Voldoende parkeergelegenheid op de binnenplaats achter het hotel. Zeer nette ontvangst, inclusief welkomstdrankje. Personeel überhaupt aardig en hulpvaardig. Kamers afwisselend van grootte en decor, maar allemaal netjes. Koelkastje was welkom geweest. Badkamerraam aan de achterzijde heb ik met een handdoek moeten afdekken. Lekker uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Jammer dat alleen niet al te smakelijke filterkoffie aanwezig was. Aan de overkant van de weg 2 uitstekende Italiaanse en Vietnamese restaurantjes. Klein winkeltje met versnaperingen om de hoek.

At the Front Desk I was checked in and looked after by David who was wonderful - welcoming, friendly. Helped me to understand the area and what I could see in the area. The hotel is in a good location, feels safe and 5-10 minute walk to the train station and main shopping mall/centre. Room was spacious and clean.

Prima hotel! Gezellig ontvangen en gastvrij personeel. Ontbijt was goed, schoonmaak was goed, kamers goed. Extra bed geplaatst voor onze dochter. Gratis drankje en fles water. Enige wat ik een minpunt vind is dat er geen koelkastje op de kamer is. Parkeren kan op eigen terrein voor 7.50 per dag.
