Bel hôtel bien entretenu, un lieu historique, mérite une visite. Service impeccable et gentil, offre gastronomique extraordinaire, qui commence déjà avec le service personnalisé au petit déjeuner, parking et autres extras offerts. Un peu plus de propositions spéciales, végétariennes ou véganes, sans gluten ou sans lactose, pains spéciaux, et ce sera absolument parfait. Peut-être demander si des désirs particuliers existent et ne ramener les produits que sur base de cette information serait une bonne idée?

Ich habe am 27.3.2025 hier übernachtet. Preis€ 436,50. Das Zimmer im 2 Stock Nr. 24. es war groß und sehr schön eingerichtet. Aber es gab einige Punkte stark zu kritisieren. Das Bett nur 1,60m breit. Kein Boxspringbett.Es bestand aus einer flachen Unterpritsche mit einer billigen weichen Matraze. das Bett war sehr tief. Das Haustelefon auf dem Schreibtisch war an der Unterseite und in der Ladeschale weiß angelaufen. Der Akku war ausgelaufen. Im Badezimmer nur eine Badewanne. Durch die Dachschräge konnte ich nicht aufrecht duschen. Keine flache Dusche Das schlimmste war aber im Zimmer fand ich eine Stinkwanze. Als Beweis habe ich die Stinkwanze auf den Schreibtisch gesetzt und ein Wasserglas darüber gesetzt. Ich habe die starken Mängel beim Empfang gemeldet und als Entschuldigung ein kleines Glas Hugenpoethonig erhalten. Von der Geschäftsleitung habe ich keinerlei Entschuldigung erhalten. So kann man nicht mit zahlenden Gästen umgehen.

Nestled amidst a picturesque landscape, this historic 17th century castle boasts a surrounding moat steeped in history, where you can escape and relax. We were astounded when we spotted an otter swimming gracefully in the moat. An extraordinary, magical, and rare experience. The hotel offers complimentary car parking and free WiFi. We stayed in the junior suite in the castle. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a breathtaking view of the park. The room was elegantly enhanced with the exquisite handmade chocolates, which added a delightful touch.

A not so classy Castle. Sort out your breakfast.
A beautiful castle just off the road to Hamburg.
Service wise, almost great. Only real let down was the exceedingly expensive breakfast that was really not worth the €30 that for 3 people almost felt like extortion.
Some cold fish, a few cheeses and some tired looking charcuteries.
Pancakes were fine as was the scrambled egg and bacon.
But an extra €12.50 for Eggs Benedict, come on, that really is taking the biscuit!
Also, had never heard of Rooibos tea, wich really was surprising for a place that clearly try to pass themselves off as top end. The blonde breakfast hostess was not great at speaking and understanding English, and the Basil Fawlty fake smile did not make up for that.
Room was comfy, nice greeting card upon arrival and also macaroons and chocolate.
But again, breakfast left an aftertaste, both price wise and for its lack of choice and flavour.
