Wow, this Riad is a real sanctuary, so beautifully decorated, with the most colourful & amazing art. The rooms are actually 'suites', an extremely comfortable bed, with incredibly high quality bed linen & huge fluffy white towels. There is a well furnished roof terrace with stunning views, so close to the sea & wonderful communal areas to relax in. The staff are absolutely lovely & so very helpful, I can't wait to return x

The location is very strategic. Close to everything by foot. We can go to the port to enjoy live seafood, wander around the charming shops, make stops randomly at cafe or crepe shop, and can still walk home adhoc if we forget something or need toiler break. The owner and staff are friendly. They speak good English which is important for non-French speaking tourists like us. The facilities and room is good size The house is artistic and beautiful.

This beautiful riad is owned by a lovely American lady called Mary. She bought the Riad, complete with artworks,a few years ago and completely gutted it, and refurbished it with her fantastic sense of style. It is clean, cosy and stylish, on a par with Salut Maroc, but at a fraction of the cost! The staff are so helpful and cannot do enough for you! Breakfast is extremely filling with omelette,pastries, baguettes, cheese, jams, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. There is high speed broadband and, a very hot shower which is just what you need after haggling in the nearby souks! The location is fantastic and as you climb to the terrace there is the most amazing view over the ramparts of the Atlantic ocean. A more perfect place to stay in Essaouira I cannot think at such a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about Riad Dar Adul. It is absolutely perfect. Beautiful decor, so comfortable (incredible sheets-best I’ve slept in since staying at the Four Seasons), and delicious breakfast and afternoon tea Mary and her staff couldn’t be nicer. So warm and welcoming . My room was more like an apartment than hotel room- it was so spacious with beautiful art and fun arty mirrors. The terrace view of the ocean is gorgeous. Such a treat to have breakfast there in the morning and watch the sun set there at night. I had the BEST time! Five star Riad in my book!

Since we first walked into Dar Adul our experience was nothing but positive. The Riad is a spectacular combination of old and new, we especially liked all the modern art on the walls. Said, Tarik and Mary made our stay very pleasant, advised us on places to visit, things to do and the restaurants, of course. The Riad is spotlessly clean, our bed bed/matress was comfortable. All has been in good order. Breakfasts filling and service with a smile each day of our stay. The terrace is a lovely place to relax in the sun. Highly recommend.

Essaouira has been just fantastic but most memorable was the staff and location of the riad. Exceptional quality, attention to detail and friendliness at great value. This may sound odd but the linen and bed exceeded 4 Seasons quality. A great ocean view terrace for breakfast. Just brilliance. Definitely returning.
