park is pretty nice , drives on sandy roads and since lots of water also lots of bushes so the gamedrives showed lots of nialla , some zebras , impala buffalo giraph but we did niot any elephant , not sure the name is coming from anyway lodge was top , food was great and setting aldo much ok , very nice pool .. and very friendly service , gamedrivers so great experience but missing elephants.

Prachtige tent met een buitendouche. Lekker gegeten. Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Bedankt aan de kok om rekening te houden met allergieën. Jammer genoeg niet veel dieren gezien tijdens de game drives. Zeker de moeite waard om daar te overnachten.

Service was terrible . Hospitality non existent . Game drives very unprofessional . Total lack of interest from guide . Lack of animals was very disappointing . Guide did not try to find anything just drive around aimlessly .The hide near the lodge was the only thing worth visiting we drive ourselves there . Generally very under whelming. Tembe should update there adverts . Other than the new pool area everything else is passed its sell by date . After visiting many game parks and lodges throughout Eastern ,central, and Southern Africa this was definately the worst experience ever .

We have been to the Tembe Elephant Park previously but have never stayed at the Lodge situated within the Park. We were very impressed with the accommodation, meals and overall service provided by the lodge staff. The Game Drives (2 per day) were excellent and the Guide offered superior knowledge of the wildlife and bird-life that we encountered during our stay. Knowledge of the Parks history and environmental conditions were well explained. The tented accommodation was very comfortable and the outside shower was the absolute best. Considered to be very good value for money. Looking forward to a return trip very soon.

De luxe tent op Tembe Elephant Park was prachtig. Ondanks het slechte weer, was iedereen aardig en ging de gids gewoon op pad! Met een lach en even vriendelijk ondanks het koud, nat en winderig was. De dieren waren lastig te spotten, maar desondanks even vriendelijke en gepassioneerde gids. De bedden werden opgemaakt en waren zelfs verwarmd. Normaliter is het in deze periode niet zulk slecht weer maar nu hadden we gewoon pech. Juist daarom waren de verwarmde bedden heerlijk! De tent had enkel een buitendouche, ook een ervaring. Gelukkig kon de douche goed heet worden waardoor we geen last hadden van de kou. De eerste dag hadden we gelukkig wel goed weer en hebben we de prachtige olifanten (en andere wilde dieren) gezien. Het eten was ook heerlijk! Er was geen keuzemenu maar er kon wel rekening gehouden worden met allergieën en dieetwensen. Al met al een prachtige ervaring en we willen zeker nog een keer terug.

This camp has now been visited 5 times - but always for the same reasons. The location is great, the staff are friendly and helpful, the prices are very reasonable, and everything about it provides an African "bush" experience.
Although one can never be sure how successful the game-viewing may be, everything will be done to make it a memorable and informative experience. And it will be! Accommodation is first-rate with the safari-tents equipped for comfort but also a recognition that you are still in the "bush". Enjoy the wild-life, starry skies and the totally friendly environment! Totally recommended.

Birds and birds again!
The staff are great however the game drives were not. If you like bird watching then great if not think about another park. The guide spent more time looking at birds and vegetation than any of the big 5. The vegetation is so thick near to the tracks it is impossible to spot anything ground level. The evening meals were poor but the breakfast was very good.

Excellent séjour dans le bush d'une journée
Séjour sous une grande tente bien aménagée avec sanitaire en dur.
Un peu isolé dans le bush ce qui nous a permis de profiter des bruits de la nature.
Petite piscine commune pour se rafraichir.
2 safaris par jour compris dans le prix.
Merci à Patrick, notre guide, pour son dévouement.
Petit déjeuner et repas variés et de très bonne qualité.
