Management would not let me view the property beforehand. The spa was broken, which was one of the main reasons we wanted to go there. The two bedroom was really a one bedroom and a living room with a bed in it. There were not enough coffee cups for the four of us. We could not feed the animals. Everything was no no and no. Would not recommend it and will never go back. When I complained they would not respond.

I’m writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with our recent stay at Banya Canyon, which was meant to be a special celebration for my boyfriend’s birthday. Unfortunately, the experience fell significantly short of our expectations due to several issues in both service and amenities. To begin, upon check-in, we were not provided a pool key and had to retrieve it ourselves, as well as no soap in the room. Those alone were an inconvenience, but things quickly worsened. After dinner, we returned to the property and realized we had forgotten our gate code. We called the office three separate times for assistance and were hung up on each time. After waiting for 10 minutes outside the gate, someone finally let us in. Later that evening, during the outdoor movie screening, the situation became beyond frustrating. A group of unsupervised children were running, jumping, and doing cartwheels in front of the screen. They ended up breaking the speaker, and we lost all audio. Despite texting the provided number and waiting 15 minutes, no staff showed up until 10 minutes later—nearly 20 minutes without any sound or resolution. Throughout the remainder of the event, with barely any audio on the movie… there was still no staff supervision, and the disruption continued. The next morning, we had ordered a breakfast box in advance of our stay. We texted at 9:00 AM inquiring about its whereabouts, only to be told it would not arrive until 10:00 AM—despite having a 10:15 AM reservation at the nearby animal sanctuary. We had to reschedule for the only other available time, 10:45 AM just to eat. In the meantime, we decided to use the hot tub, which was supposed to open at 10:00 AM. When we arrived, there were no towels available. We asked for towels at 10:05 AM and waited in the hot tub, which was cold. It’s clear the spa had not been turned on in time to be properly heated. We received no reply until 10:20 AM and towels did not arrive until 10:30 AM. At that point, we had to rush back, shower, and check out by 11:00 AM—ultimately missing our sanctuary visit entirely. This stay, which cost nearly $600 for one night, was not only disappointing but upsetting. The photos do not reflect the reality of the property, and the lack of basic hospitality and responsiveness was unacceptable. What was intended to be a special and relaxing birthday getaway turned into a frustrating and stressful experience that left us both deeply dissatisfied. Staff seemed unbothered and lazy. Will never go back here.

Rustic? How about RUSTY NAILS? We were a party of 4 adults and 4 children (under 10) April 2025. The first part of our party left after the rattlesnake on the door step. The second part left after a step on this rusty nail at the Peacock vllla. The response from Emma at the front desk... was "there was no security guard" and our "CCTV didn't see a child limping". The child wasn't limping because she was in the wagon provided. we did not stay the whole night- just2 hours- from 3-5 then left to urgent care- hoping for a refund. None was offered

Very quiet when we went. We had our cottage. Amazing! I don’t want to tell anyone about the gem of place to stay!
