Hotels near University of Luxembourg, Esch-sur-Alzette

It is a good hotel: rooms are spacious and clean. Rooms have the necessary comfort if you travel on business: there is a kitchenette, which may be very helpful. The wi-fi is very good and there are enough conditions if you need to work. The staff is kind and helpful. If you drive there, then the hotel has a parking area. If you travel by public transport, then you have to walk either a few hundred metres to more than a km. depending on whether you travel by bus or by train. Also, it is not so easy to get a bus straight to the centre, although it is only 2 km far away- Currently breakfast is served at the brasserie (arbre du pain), next door. The offer is so broad there, mainly with Portuguese pastry, that there is no need to purchase the breakfast at the hotel. Opposite the hotel there is a cosy Italian restaurant - Dimmi si.

Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend and/or stay again. In detail: - My partner and I stayed here during summer holidays. It was a mixed business & leisure trip. I worked in the lobby/restaurant for 2 days and Wifi was great throughout the entire hotel (no glitched, no loss of connection during conference calls). - All staff was very friendly and helpful. From the people at the reception, to the cleaning personal, as soon as we had a question, they helped us. - The rooms are also very modern, clean and with quiet AC(airco). I would even suggest to the hotel that it’s not needed to renew all towels every day. I’m ok with using my towel for a few days. ;) - Breakfast is ok. It’s all there (cheeses, meats, fruit, yoghurt, cornflakes, coffee, tea, milk, juices, eggs, toast & croissants.). It is fresh and tasty, but don’t expect a lavish brunch. I read some of the previous reviews and sometimes people need to manage their own expectations. ;) As it is a new hotel, some suggestions I would like to bring to hotel management: - I was missing a tiny fridge in the room. Luckily the staff stored our food in the kitchen, but I felt a bit guilty asking for it every morning. - I would invest in an AC in the breakfast room. It’s a very nice space, filled with light, but that also means that during summer it gets quite warm. Nonetheless: definitely worth a stay when visiting Luxembourg! Extra tip! Go visit the brewery next door + tasting and ask for Eric. Eric was our tour guide. He’s very knowledgeable and like to share his stories, which for us made sure we had a great time! Also the beer is good (bonus, haha). :P

The hotel is pretty much far from the city center and the airport. There's no bus stop near the hotel and you have to walk around 12 mins to the nearest bus stop. It's located in a national highway also so quite dangerous when walking towards the bus stop. If you mistook booking in this hotel and you don't have a car the best way to go to the city is go to Bettembourg Fankenacker bus stop you either take the bus to Bettembourg station and take the train to the city or ride the bus all the way from Bettermbourg Fankenacker to the city center. The hotel is not equipped with a mini fridge and blow dryer but neat and clean and the hotel staff allowed us to check-in before 2 pm. So it was nice afterall.

L’hôtel est véritablement très propre et très bien entretenu. Le personnel de l’hôtel est très très accueillant et très serviable. Le responsable est d’une grande gentillesses et attache beaucoup d’importance à ce que vous passiez un bon séjour. Les chambres sont très propres et spacieuses, tout comme la salle de bains dotée d’une grande douche à l’italienne très appréciable. Vous trouverez tout votre bonheur au buffet du petit déjeuner qui est suffisamment varié. Le hall de l’hôtel est très spacieux, moderne et lumineux. Grand parking pour stationner et très facile d’accès. Je recommande cet établissement.

Very good hotel, the location is very close to the train station and the service is very good. But it's too expensive! The local people are too rich. Fortunately, the city is not big and one night is enough to go shopping.

Very well and centrally located between the pedestrian zone and the park, underground car park available. The hotel is not easy to reach by car due to the traffic layout in the city centre. Unfortunately, no one will help you with your luggage at check-in, even if you ask. But overall very friendly staff, a tiny bit slow. Good breakfast buffet and very good! Having lunch. The restaurant has a beautiful courtyard facing the city park. In the evening piano music in the bar, very good, unusual cocktails. Nice room with everything you need, good beds, no coffee maker in the room. Overall definitely recommended! We will stay there again.

Stayed in various mama shelter hotels around the world so I am used to the nice decor and funky ambiance which is something that keeps me coming back but on this one i was received by alexandra from front desk with an overall un friendly attitude very unlike the spirit of mama shelter. Apart from that everything was good, great room delicious cookies at reception great food and ok location ( transport is free in Luxembourg so no problem traveling into the city) on the downside cinema is not public and no gym.

Thank you to the entire hotel team, very helpful, attentive and always respectful staff. A perfect restaurant with “family” and tasty meals, with a waitress and waiter who are always kind and attentive. Congratulations to the cook for his delicious and very judiciously spiced cuisine. We spent a long weekend at this hotel it was fabulous it was very welcoming and very personable. We stayed in the duplex room which was very well appointed and very nice there was a tub in the bathroom (a bonus). The hotel is located in a very peaceful and relaxing environment. Breakfast was provided and there was so much to choose from ...
