Beautiful location in the top of a mountainside. Dining was great but pool got crowded in the afternoon.

We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back. The hotel is 10-15 minute drive from Pinhao station.
Breakfast with a view was fantastic. Very helpful and kind staff.

In the restaurant, the first night we ordered the set dinner tasting menu, it was average. The second night, we ordered from the a la carte menu for the fish and octopus, they are sooooooo good! Thus, I recommend ordering from a la carte. I also love the service in the restaurant, the head chef will take ur orders, and his colleagues will help delivering. The orange juices during breakfast are freshly squeezed from the oranges in the yards, very delicious. The restaurant is likely the best thing in this quinta.
I lived in the maker rooms, the rooms are average for its price.
The wine tasting is definitely a rip-off, they gave you some recent year cheap wines. I can get similar wine tasting at a similar price in Florence Italy wine region with delicious wines from 1800. I do not recommend doing wine tasting in this quinta.
They created some circuits or paths for you to tour around which is nice, but the notations and map are not updated. You may get lost, but you should also be able to figure your way out so no big deal.

We went to enjoy our honeymoon here and absolutely adored it. It feels like you’re on your own little resort. The property is huge, with only a handful of rooms so you barely see other guests even when sold out. Best of all, the view is incredible! The staff was amazing, so attentive and everything was clean and cutely decorated. We did a wine tasting and even tried 2 of their 7 free hikes around the vineyards and river. Our only area of opportunitie for improvement would be that the Air Conditioner wasnt working, thankfully it was cold outside at night so we could just open the window, but in summer months that would have been hard to deal with. Thank you for the most amazing stay!

Was soll/kann man noch schreiben? Wenn alles übertrifft was man sich vorstellen kann… dann hier! Von unserem tollen Zimmer hatten wir eine traumhaften Ausblick auf den Douro und die Weinberge. Auch vom Pool einen Mega Ausblick. Die Anlage an sich hat schon eine jahrhundertelange Geschichte, das zeigen sie mit ihrem eigenen Museum. Einfach alles wunderbar… Das Restaurant und das Frühstück waren sehr lecker. Das Personal war ehrlich nett, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Sie gaben das Gefühl man ist unter Freunden.

A nice Hotel in a beautiful and peaceful landscape. Rooms are good as well as the pool area. Restaurant had an interesting dinner menu with a local touch. Breakfast was very good. The premises offer different hikes and several other activities. I can recommend the wine tasting (thx Manuel) All staff were very nice and service level was high. A fantastic place.

Stay here now before it’s discovered. Will be 2-3x current rate. Beautiful room. Beautiful setting. Great wine tasting. Facilities are very nice. Entire place is of very high standard. About 1.5 hours from Porto. Nice reception area and fantastic tasting of very good wines/port.

A marvelous experience. we rented a house and it was near the river, with a small dipping pool at the house. Shared with another couple, friends. hiking on property and excursions within reach. PEACEFUL porches to sit on. great food at restaurant.

I hate to write this review because the property is beautiful. But you do not get what you pay for online. We booked Casa Romantica for the view we saw online (picture shown) but they have added in blinds that you cannot remove (pictured). They mentioned none of this online or when you book. We are also on our honeymoon and asked for something romantic to be done in the room for our arrival(willing to pay or course) and nothing was done. Mainly the view is what’s SO disappointing - website should be updated as this is not right. You do not get what you paid for. Complete false advertising. Sad for such a nice place - with friendly staff.
