Excellent location and serene surroundings. The ayurveda team were brilliant and the treatment routine was very good The people are very caring, friendly and ready to serve. Do not expect a resort - in terms of amenities, food or service. These are quite basic. The choice of food, the timings and quality is more for those who come for care and not for vacation. Our experience was great since we wanted a quiet, ayurvedic experience. That’s was met well.

Place is a conshop. The masseur gets disturbed every 5 mins be doctor / receptionist. He picks phone every 5 mins. A rush job, 60 mins crunched in 30 mins. Absolutely avoid this place. Tooo crowded every day. The staff is useless and absolutely running a luxury fraud at services worst than 1 star property. ACs dont work. Zero cleanliness

I really like this resort. It is private, beautiful and with a great staff. If you like ayurveda treatments, they have fantastic doctors and therapists and I felt comfortable with their advices and treatments. It was a retreat for me - I could just sit quitely in the beautiful garden and read my book in between my treatments. Some times it could have been nice to do something else in the 14 days I stayed there so maybe more planned activities with the hotel. However they planned a boattrip and Indian dancer the last days, I were there. Need to mention the food - it was real nice Kerala food even though I was on a diet. The best wishes to the whole Ananda team.

ITS NOT a RESORT Its an ayurvedic clinic Each room smells of oil. Bedsheets smell of oil. No CAMPUS. NO private Beach (as shown in pics) Backwater can't be accessed. No fencing for resort. Some random building is inside. Swimming pool is BAD. Beach is not worth .Restaurant is pathetic. Won't be able to find good veg options restaurant near by. AVOID cherai altogether

It was an average experience. Don't expect too much in terms of facilities. The resort is well located and has a beautiful serene view of the backwater lake and a couple of mins of walk to the beach. Apart from these, rest of the things are not so great. Rooms have no fans and only ac. Wifi is perennially not available or flaky. No buffet breakfast only ala-carte with limited options. Rooms don't have sound proofing. One can hear people talking from the adjacent rooms.

We went to Cherai for health , rejuvenation and treatment. I needed treatment for my frozen shoulder. The resort is excellent, maintained meticulously well. Food is superb and value for money. The chef went out of his way to prepare dishes to our taste. The resort has a residential doctor and health centre. I took extensive treatment for my shoulder ***** with physiotherapy and have gained a lot. Dr Radhalakshmi is an amazing doctor and person. Made us feel so comfortable, took daily interest and guided our treatment Thanks to her I have almost recovered fully, from totally dependent on others earlier.
