The hotel is ideally located in Syros. We have ben surprised to read all the positive reviews, because what we experienced was not really positive. The staff and the manager were not very friendly . We had nobody at the reception desk when we arrived to welcome us. The breakfast is so so and supervised by a lady checking what you are doing. Don’t even think to ask for fried eggs. The coffee is a kind of watery and tasteless mixture. We had the feeling that they were recyling the bread from one day to another one. The bed mattress was an antique and we suffered sleeping on it. The bathroom was small and moldy

L’accueil et service médiocres. Literie dans un état pitoyable. Salle de bains minuscule avec des moisissures importantes dans la douche. Le petit déjeuner est moyen et peu varié. Les seuls fruits sont des pommes et des poires qui ne sont pas mûrs. Pourtant l’hôtel est bien situé et les chambres sont propres.

Hidden gem in the most beautiful part of the island - apart from the great price, I found it to be such a charming hotel, with the cleanest of rooms and the friendliest, most accommodating staff! I booked last minute - was staying in a terrible hotel prior that was more expensive and not half as nice. They allowed me to check in early and was relieved to find such a nice energy at Hotel Elektra - I will always stay here when I’m in syros 😃

A short uphill walk from the port and all the action, this is a small nice hotel and Dimitri, the part time reception was very nice and helpful. No owner to find and the breakfast (at 15 euros/p) was very poor and not worth the money. The terrace is not maned and is empty which is a shame as it would make a great place for breakfast or evening drinks. All the reports are from, at least, two years ago so I presume it has changed hands.

We enjoyed our 3-night stay in this small hotel located in a quiet area within a 5-minute walk from the center of town. We stayed in a room with a balcony and sea view which we highly recommend over the rooms with a street view. The room was quiet and comfortable, except for the open shower without doors which was a bit messy and awkward. Marta, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good with eggs, greek yoghurt and delicious home made cakes.

This is a really sweet little hotel. Everything was comfortable and clean. Breakfast is basic but good. The staff here was charming and helpful. the location is wonderful and the views from this area are amazing. This is not the hotel for you if you have mobility issues but if you can manage a few stairs and a few hills then it's really worth it. The breakfast area on the roof terrace is stunning and next time I'll get a room with a view because I think it would be well worth it. I will absolutely stay again if I get back to Syros.
