This would not be the best choice if you want all the services of a typical hotel or if you want to stay very close to the city center. However, it was perfect for my needs. The main room was quite large and comfortable, with a bed, couch, table, and desk. Plenty of room to work or relax. The bathroom was quite nice, and there's also a kitchenette complete with stove, microwave, dishes, etc. There's a washing machine (free, but provide your own detergent) on site. An enormous supermarket is right next door, while there's an organic grocer about another block farther and a small Aldi and a DM right near that. There are also a few restaurants nearby. The city center and train station are about 20 minutes' walk. In the other direction about 10 minutes away is a large forested park complete with wild boars (in an enclosure). Overall the neighborhood is quiet, with some interesting buildings left over from when this was a US army base. The Historic Apart itself is an a former barracks. I was very comfortable here. The soundproofing indoors isn't fantastic (and the door makes noise when it opens) but that wasn't too annoying. Staff may not be on site but respond quickly to emails, calls, or a buzzer when needed. I had requested a taxi for my departure day, and it arrived exactly on time.
