Returning to Epernay for July 14th - the Boutique Hotel du Champagne has remodeled rooms, great location to walk, and welcoming staff!

The couple drove to this Champagne town. It is an old building in the ancient town. The interior is well decorated, but the room is small, the elevator is narrow, and the sound insulation is not very good. They can hear the noise from upstairs and in the corridor. Parking is on the roadside. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and it cost 20 euros for four hours. It is free after 7pm and free all day on Sunday. It only takes an hour to walk through the town and there are not many tourists.

Clean and comfortable room, #337. It had 2 bathrooms, like ‘his’ and ‘hers’, never seen that in a superior hotel room, but it was nice. We didn’t do the breakfast but we did have drinks in the lobby bar which was nice and quiet. Great location, short walkable distance to Rues de Champagne and shopping/restaurants. About a 10 minute walk to the train station which we took to Reims for the day. Found free parking on the street for the weekend stay. I would stay here again.

Decent location close to the centre, staff nice enough. The rooms however are fairly basic and the bathrooms are tired although they are clean. The single beds feel tiny, the pillows hit and miss. Our safe didn’t work and despite asking for assistance, it was never fixed. The major downside is the total lack of sounds proofing. The wall as mist be paper thin. We could hear the people next door snoring, the child above shouting for her mum and the person on the other side to us zipping their case up, not to mention the what they got up to in the bathroom.

The location and price are the reason for the score of 4. There was a lack of service for us. Coffee cups on the room not replaced with new ones, Water in the room on the first day, not on the second. Very poor water pressure in our room (335). All said and done if we wanted to return we’d probably stay again.

Great location, short 10 minute walk from the train station and minutes away from the Avenue of Champagne. Staff was extremely friendly in the room was great!
