The ambiance and beach views at Saffron Beach Entebbe are truly stunning—relaxing at any time of the day. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the food. Our party of four visited on February 15, 2025, hoping to enjoy an early dinner and try their Indian dishes. We ordered a variety to get a sense of their range: Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Mutton Rogan Josh, and Chicken Curry. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. The flavors were underwhelming, and the quality did not justify the price, especially compared to other restaurants serving similar cuisine. The naan was lukewarm at best and more burnt than properly cooked. It felt as if the chef wasn’t present that day, as the dishes lacked the care and authenticity we expected. This was our first visit, and while the location is beautiful, we wouldn’t recommend their Indian dishes at this time. Hopefully, they can improve in the future.

Just steps from Lake Victoria, the restaurant provides very good and friendly service led by Diness, the manager of the restaurant. There is plenty of dishes on the menu, but I would recommend the Indian and Ugandan food (especially goat) at very decent price. If you're in Entebbe, you must have dinner here.

I stayed for a month at this excellent mid range hotel. During my time there we had plentiful hot water, toiletries in the bathroom, fully operational AC, fast Wifi and a working TV. The bedroom was slightly smaller than average, probably due to the super king-size bed which tended to dominate the room. Having said that the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was pretty standard for a hotel of this size and price, consisting of fruits, eggs, toast, the occasional sausage and very tasty sauted vegetables. The location was amazing, sitting on the Lakeshore and the restaurant stood head and shoulders above it's nearby competitors. At weekends it does become very busy and I would suggest reserving a table in advance. The food and service at the bar were very good with many different options. The most popular selection at the restaurant appeared to be Tilapia which was hug As a non fish I am unable to comment on the quality. Most people were unable to eat it all and had it packed to takeaway. I loved their authentic curries and their wood fired pizzas. During the week it was very quiet and spent hours sat at beach bar enjoying the plentiful wild life. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff. The management team were great and are currently upgrading the facility at pace. As you can probably gather that my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return again in the new year. There were a few things which we had no control over. There was no hot water and you could not control the AC thermostat. Whenever we called the receptionist regarding the hot water, they stated that we would get it in a little while. That while never came…………

Awful experience with rooms and amenities at this hotel, rooms were outdated, with no proper air-conditioning and running hot water. Our first stay in Uganda was disappointing, this hotel is unhygienic with rodents in the outdoor kitchen at night. Though the location is excellent, the overall stay was unpleasant and uncomfortable 😞. A hotel to avoid unless management does a thorough remodeling of the rooms and kitchen.

The stay was quite uncomfortable. There was no water pressure in the sinks and showers in the bathroom. And there was no hot water. So after a long and tiring journey from the USA, we were unable to have even a decent wash and shower. Basic amenities were also lacking such as inadequate toiletries. Additionally, the air conditioner was malfunctioning and the remote to operate it was unavailable. The complaint to management fell on deaf ears. Truly a sad experience for place that otherwise has a nice location.

location good, but the hotel was tacky! Tiny room, 1 AC remote for all rooms. No glasses to drink from, dim bulb, so couldn't see, overflowing dustbin, so room not cleaned properly. NO HOT WATER! Had to have a cold shower after a long journey! Overall a bad experience

The place is very good, nice looking having good customer care service plus nice food and good accommodations. Thanks to somanshu verma the general manager for taking care of us and giving us a great service we will definitely come back thanks again

This place just beside the Victoria Lake. It has beautiful scenes with tasty fried fish!! We eat the fish, listening the sound of wave.It’s really a happy time there. Btw, the size of the fish is really large hhhhh, I try my best to finish it 😂😂

Excellent service. The ambience is great to hang out with family and friends. The food quality is top notch. Yummiest food served. The staff is so humble and polite. Best place to visit. Thank you for your best service.

Saffron Beach is such a good place to chill out for End of year annual outings. The gardens are so beautiful, we forgot to take pics at the Balcony the fish and chips tasted great✅And the boat cruise was all we needed to take off all the stress. I recommend this place and can't wait to Visit Kalangala upon its opening in December ✨

The worst hotel I have ever stayed. Dirty room, Wi-Fi not working in room ( owner kept on saying 5 min) but nothing moved. Towels were dirty. Room was full of large cockroaches. The almirahs were full of dust. Toiletries were half used by previous person staying. Not worth of price being asked for. The owner confirmed free pickup and drop to airport and after bill was cleared, the drop to airport was charged.

I stayed there with my wife for 3 nights and it was really an excellent memory for us. We liked so much the front lakeside garden area where we used to take breakfast every day and sit and spent wonderful time together. The staffs are also cooperative and rents are quite affordable.
