The Ocean Inn Antigua

A beautiful place and nice stuff. One of the best views from the hotel over English harbour. The territory is nice. The hotel itself needs a full renovation. The windows in the room are impossible to open. The tap in the bathroom doesnt close well. The room needs better furniture and decoration.

You could never tire of the glorious view from this place. The staff are smiley, lovely and welcoming, everything is very relaxed. Perfect breakfast served every day which is a blessing and nice touches like a water dispenser available. It's in a fantastically handy location, you can walk to English Harbour & the dockyard. Don't come expecting 'perfection' as it does need some renovations, but it has oodles of Caribbean charm, a nice pool to cool off in and a bar for sundowners. We'd definitely stay again. Stayed at Ocean Inn preparing for the Caribbean 600 Yacht Race and immediately after; perfect choice. Rooms were simple but very comfortable with a good bed, effective Air Conditioning. Rooms were very clean and tended every day. The basic room shared a bathroom (as advertised) but this was no bother. Good Breakfast served each day with plenty of fresh fruit, fresh hard boiled eggs, pastries promptly from just after 7. Easy 10-15 min walk to Nelson's Dockyard. Well stocked honesty bar. Most of all though, Robert and Annie were lovely friendly hosts who were happy to help in any way needed - e.g. looked after excess luggage during race; organised late stay/shower. If I went again would look no further for accommodation.

I had an amazing stay at Ocean Inn. Unbeatable view and staff for the price. I will definitely be back!

Unbeatable views of English Harbour and Nelson’s dockyard in a small super friendly setting. 5 mins walk (down hill) to restaurants and supermarket. Less than 10 mins to Nelson’s Dockyard and approx 15- 20 mins to pigeon point beach. The rooms- beds comfy, great power shower in bathroom, good air con. We had a fridge in our room but no kettle but we (and other guests) had 24 hour access to free cold and hot water from the breakfast area for tea/coffee. The pool was great and cleaned every day. There were no sun umbrellas on the pool deck when we went but you could sit in the breakfast area above the pool if you wanted shade. The free breakfast was more substantial than I was expecting help yourself to fruit, yoghurt, pastries, bread/toast, cold meat/cheese, cooked things available for a small charge. There is a well stocked honesty bar available 24/7. Some of the decking areas are in need of an upgrade but this did not affect our stay. This is not a 5 star hotel but what it offers in views and friendliness are unbeatable. We are so glad we chose Ocean Inn and would definitely stay again.
