I actually wanted to treat ourselves to a suite for our 20th wedding anniversary, but since we are travelling with dogs we didn't get one. I would have appreciated if I had been told when I made the reservation, then I would have booked a different hotel. So we took that room as we arrived in the middle of the night and I was over tired, my fault that I agreed with that room. It was acceptable, a big terrace for the dogs, but for us it lacked any luxury. The price was very reasonable at least. Staff was very friendly, like always, breakfast was good, just the salmon wasn't fresh after 2 days. Free parking and WLAN, pool was in a great condition. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in the evening, in a nice restaurant, that was fine and as I said, to accept the room was my mistake. Price was fair but I'm not sure if we'll stay here a third time.

Sehr gut geführtes & sauberes Hotel mit wirklich ausgezeichnetem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis; das Frühstücksbuffet (für unter 10,- Euro) lässt keine Wünsche offen (...einschl. Lachs). - Die kostenlosen Willkommens-Getränkemarken zur Nutzung an der hauseigenen Bar sorgen sofort für Erholung & gute Stimmung (...nach langer Anfahrt aus FR/DE). - Der Familienhund wurde herzlich begrüßt und war willkommen. - Jeder Zeit sehr gerne wieder ... !!

Pour la troisième fois nous faisons escale dans ce petit hôtel, le personnel y est sympathique, la piscine un vrai espace de détente, le petit déjeuner plus que satisfaisant pour le prix. L'établissement est propre, le parking un vrai plus pour les voyageurs.

Accueil très agréable, personnel très gentil et souriant. Un superbe petit déjeuner, copieux et très varié, ouvert de 7h30 à 10h30 qui laisse largement le temps de se restaurer. Chambre spacieuse et propre, climatisée. Matelas très confortable, store qui ne laisse pas passer la lumière, un confort pour mieux dormir.

Only stayed one night at this hotel on way from U.K. to Spain but don’t think it deserves some of poor reviews it has. Yes it is dated and basic but it is clean and friendly! We had an upgrade free of charge to a room with large terrace as we have a small dog. Breakfast was good value with a good selection… even smoked salmon!

At first sight, the hotel is not as plush looking in reality when compared with the photos! The hotel is on the outskirts of Empuriabrava and has a strong Oriental feel to its decor and ambience. Our room was very spartan and in need of an update as it felt very 70's/80's with cheap wood furniture and fittings. The public areas also looked tired but everything was clean. The staff were very pleasant and helpful though and provided a welcome brightness to the place although they seemed hard worked as the receptionist seemed to double as the bar-tender....you get the feeling that costs are being cut to increase profit margins. That said, the hotel is well-priced for the area and so, if you want cheap accommodation and are only staying for a few days, Ampuria Inn has its place.

Solo se non trovate altro e siete disperati. Io e il mio collega abbiamo affittato 2 camere per una nottata. Camera buia e con muri sporchissimi. Zanzare ovunque e arredamento anni 50. Per un 4 stelle, decisamente altri standard. Esperienza da non ripetere.
