Holiday Inn Express & Suites Emporia Northwest

Staff was friendly, room was clean. Breakfast was better than expected. If you like disc golf, there was a course around the whole area. Pool was clean and on site laundry was good for us since we got caught in a horrible rainstorm and our clothes was about 50 pounds heavy because of the water.

Was in Emporia for a business trip. I arrived a day late and staff was great about a quick check in over the lunch hour, and extending my stay one day. Stayed in room 210. Room was clean, king size bed was comfortable, room temperature was easy to adjust with quiet with combo A/C Heater unit. There was a desk for working and a chair and ottoman for relaxing. A card showing television channels would be nice. Property is located next to I-35 and close to restaurants and other businesses.

We stayed twice in a week, once on the way to our destination and once on the way back. Check in was a breeze both times. I'm unsure of the clerks names, but the girl on the first stay (Feb 19) was very polite and personable. The young man on the second stay (Feb 23) was also polite and personable, and even gave me a complimentary bottle of water. The first night we stayed, we got a room on the 3rd floor (which I requested). It was quiet and nice. The only issue was the water didn't get hot, lukewarm at best. So it was a quick shower. The second stay, the water was much better. The refrigerator in our room didn't work that second stay, and water was dripping from it. We didn't really need it anyway, so we dealt with it with no problem. Breakfast both times was delicious. The pancake machine was great. No need to measure, just hit the button and wait! Plenty of seating in the breakfast area. The beds were very comfortable. It's easy to find and get to, and very close to plenty of restaurants and Walmart. We were very happy with our stay and will continue to stay here when we travel that way.
