Sleep Inn Regina East

Great clean hotel. But. The creamer at breakfast is COFFEE mate!!!! Get to real CREAM. THIS affects my choice to not stay there even tho I like it. Plus. The tv channels are very dull and too much sport.

I stayed at the Sleep Inn Regina East for the night of July 4th, 2025. When I arrived, I was greeted by a very welcoming staff member who proceeded to check me in. Check-in went smoothly and I was able to get to my room very quickly. I booked a room with one king bed and I had asked to be on the top floor near the stairs. I ended up receiving a room on the top floor, but it was not near the stairs as requested. The large room had a king bed with five pillows, a mini refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee-maker, a medium-sized television with a remote, a comfy chair, a sofa, a coffee table, as well as a desk with an office chair. I found that the room had a funny smell, as well as the mini-fridge. At first, I thought it was just me after a long days drive, but it was the room and fridge. I also found the room was very dark, even with all of the lights on. However, the room was very clean and that was the main thing. The clean medium-sized bathroom had a sink and a shower, and came with two sets of towels and a bar of soap. The sink had a bottle of lotion attached to the wall and the shower had bottles of shampoo and conditioner attached to the wall. I had some problems when taking a shower. I found that the hot and cold water were reversed, so when I turned it to hot, it was freezing cold, but when I turned it to cold, I burned my hand in the scalding water. I have never had that happen before. When I finally got the temperature correct and started with my shower, I found that the drain was plugged and that the tub was filling up with water. Plus there was no handle to hold on to, so it made for a very dangerous situation. I had some breakfast in the morning. It is pretty basic, with juice, coffee, cold cereal, toast, muffins, back (Canadian) bacon, make your own pancakes, yogurt and scrambled eggs. The area was very clean and I enjoyed what I had selected. Overall, I was a little bit disappointed with my stay at the Sleep Inn Regina East. While the room was clean, the odd smell that emanated from the room and the mini-fridge, as well as the reversed water in the shower and clogged drain, put a damper to the start of my vacation. I left a note about the water in the room, and told the staff member at check-out in hopes that no one else would get a cold shower in that room. I have a reservation for the same hotel on my way back, so I hope I get a different room.

We booked this hotel because I had stayed there in the past and was pretty good! We travelled 5 hours with a toddler and a baby, bribing the toddler with being able to go swimming when we got there. However, when we arrived they said the pool was closed (was not informed prior). We were planning to cancel and go to a hotel nearby with a pool that worked. Staff asked us to wait to contact management to see if the pool could be used. After waiting for at least 10 minutes, they said it could. We then continued with our check-in, changed and headed down to the pool. It was DISGUSTING. There were worms in the pool and a visible film on the top! Definitely not suitable for anyone, nevermind very small children. The floors were dirty and there were those little water beetles in the floor cracks. We were so disappointed because we booked this hotel specifically because of its location and the ability for our children to burn off some energy in the pool. Unimpressed.

The staff and property were amazing, unfortunately the hot tub wasn’t in working condition and won’t be for awhile.
