We’ve just arrived home after a 10 night stay at Akti Olous, and we had a lovely stay. The hotel is in a great position, right on the coast. There is a beach for people station in the hotel as well as members of the public. There are also a tonne of great restaurants that are all walking distance, and there is a supermarket literally 1 minute walk away. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis. Breakfast was great, loads of choice (cold meats/cheeses, pastries, hot options). The hotel is lovely, super clean in all areas and staff are so helpful. We did feel a little short changed with our room - it was really really small, and a little outdated. When booking, I was given the option to choose a sea view or standard room - we didn’t upgrade so went with the standard room. When we checked in, we’d been allocated a garden view room - except the view was of a residential garden. It did mean it limited our use of the balcony slightly as we felt like we were intruding on the residents garden. I would also recommend booking a late check out if possible - we used the courtesy room and it was not in a great state. Would’ve rather paid the extra money to keep our room.

Mostly good great location beautiful roof pool and sky bar the staff in sky bar were lovely great cocktails. Service from Jet 2 staff not good we were disappointed with room size very small with small balcony however the room was modern clean good shower had hanging wardrobe but no drawers so had to leave non hanging clothes in case. We asked for twin beds as 2 friends travelling together bed side cabinets fixed to wall either side of bed so beds couldn’t be separated so felt like a double bed. Breakfast was a disappointment we ate our breakfast elsewhere 3/6 days. If u travelling with Jet 2 standard double and twin rooms are v small we were unable to upgrade- the hotel is in a lovely location with lots of nice bars and restaurants near by.

The hotel staff made this holiday one of our best experiences. From the sky bar down to the ground staff and cleaners. Nothing was to much for them with smiles and politeness all-round. We stayed in room 413 / 415 garden view ( not) olive grove with next doors neighbour crap. But apart from that, a little gem in Crete.

Perfect location. 3 minute walk to Elounda harbour. Lots of very good restaurants close. Very close to a bus stop, behind the hotel. Bus to Agios Nikolaos, which definitely worth a visit. Almyros is a beautiful beach at Agios Nikolaos. Breakfast, could be better. Not enough choice. Freshly squeeze orange juice machine is a bonus. We had a standard double room on the 2nd floor. Side view. Not the best view, gas bottles and rubbish. This could be easily fixed with a tidy up. Room was small but exceptionally clean. Pool area was lovely but you need to get there as it opens at 9am to get a bed. Pool roof terrace bar is beautiful. Staff are absolutely amazing.

Great hotel & fab location. Very clean & tidy, we tried a few days around the pool area, but preferred the beach 200mtrs up the rd. This cost 10 euros for 2 beds & a brolly. Rock shoes advised as very rocky. Hotel breakfast was really nice & always fresh & not too busy. We were in room 106 which had a terrible view, but we ain't ones for sitting on the balcony so didn't complain as the room had everything we needed. Definitely return again.

We stayed here again as last year was amazing. It’s bed and breakfast and the breakfasts are excellent. A lot of choice, fruit, cereal, toast, cheese and ham, cakes which are delicious and always something hot like omelettes or bacon. Lots of savoury and sweet pastries. The rooms are lovely and spacious, superior rooms have a much bigger balcony. There is a restaurant in site which is nice and roof top cocktail bar is superb. Spiros the bar tender is such a pro. He makes the best cocktails and is so helpful, he runs the bar so well and is chatty and friendly.

Great hotel can’t do enough for you, we have just arrived back from this hotel and it is very chilled place just what you want to unwind , the food the town great quiet place. And the views are all spectacular , I suggest hire a quad to see the other towns ,

When we arrived we were shown tp our room which was like a broom cupboard with no view from yhe balcony, but how lucky the had a better room they could.offer us at an additional €40 per night, very convenient. The hotel was spotlessly clean, there was plenty of choice for breakfast, and the staff were all very friendly. It has its own small beach with a limited d number of beds, we're early risers so getting a bed wasn't a problem. Some people are still reserving beds but overall, it's not much of an issue. It's a 10 minute stroll into the harbour area with lots of choice for restaurants. The head waiter has a habit of charging €7.50 for a glass of wine while the other waiters only charge €5. He was also quite disinterested when taking you food/drink order and was more concerned at waving at passing people/motorists to get them to come into the bar/restaurant rather than making those in their feel welcome. Sky bar was nice place to start the evening, lots of drink choices and at decent prices Overall, it was a great hotel in a great location and would visit again.
