Budget Inn Top of Ellijay

The rooms where advertised online as queen beds, they was full beds. Stood outside for check in for 15 mins before someone finally came. Check out was just as bad. There was nothing comfortable about the beds

Convenient walk to local restaurant.

Booked on ******* but the receipt amount was 30% higher than agreed to on app- I have proof. ******* states it is the hotel that charged the wrong amount. Just a warning to double check the amount on your credit card.

Likes: rate was reasonable; good quality towels/washcloths; good quality blanket on bed Dislikes: unprofessional behavior on part of female (Tina?) who supposedly help manage hotel - if you can call it that. April 1, I had to call ******* twice as my key card would not open my hotel room door - by the time they did show up - she yelled at me "hey, hey, hey - over here" (she knew my name as I had already been a guest there a week. She spoke to me like I was a bad kid - told me to make sure I do not leave room in a mess - I told her I was not a messy person. Also the date of my check out - April 2, she was knocking on my door "to remind me I had to check out early due to plumber coming to fix water leak - I told her she did not need to knock on my door - I had used an alarm clock to wake up earlier. Upon checking in on March 25, I was charged an additional $20 on top of my total hotel room charges to cover processing fee for paying with a debit card. Why did he not inform me of this extra charge after I made my booking in the letter they sent me by e-mail? Also - there was a slot for a dead bolt lock but there was no chain to put into the slot to lock the deadbolt. Safety should be of utmost importance when staying in a hotel!! My first day at the hotel - March 26 - there was constant loud noise from a building close by - they were putting on a new roof. This continued all day. Tues-Fri nights - loud noise from upstairs.
