Holiday Inn Express & Suites West Omaha - Elkhorn

While the hotel is fairly new the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The first night we were there and turned down the beds, there was blood all over the sheets on one of the beds. We did not use that bed. It was late and waited til the next morning to complain. Our sheets were changed then that day. Two days later the same sheets were put back on the bed. All blood stained. We complained to the front desk again and also to the cleaning people. Also they did not clean the bathrooms each day like they claim. They never vacuumed our room either as there was cereal on the floor and was there the whole stay which was 8 days. Breakfast was ok. Same thing everyday. Bacon was served only one day. Biscuits were like bricks. Coffee was like hot water and coffee machine did not work half the time. When we complained to the management and wanted reimbursed for 2 of the days, management said they had no record of our complaint and could not reimburse us. We sent him pictures of our blood stained sheets and he said it was not his property. He said we took pictures of another property and tried to say it was theirs. How ridiculous. Pictures were date stamped. The pool was nice, but water was not heated. I travel to Omaha a lot and will never stay there again. Management is horrible. Most of them do not speak English and do not understand you. Unfortunate.

The hotel is very clean, public areas and room. Breakfast should have been a treat for variety but my biscuit was hard as a rock and couldn’t get knife thru sausage patty. But lots of options. Rooms were quiet- extra padding and rug under door to reduce noise. But our room was facing traffic so noisy especially in the morning.
