I stayed for a week at Laola Surf Camp in El Salvador and it was an excellent experience. I arrived at the camp without knowing how to surf, and now I can surf on my own. The one-on-one lessons with the instructors are great and they're very friendly. All the staff here are very friendly and helpful. I recommend anyone who wants to learn to surf and have a good time to come to this camp.

I was staying at Laola Surf camp wish I understand belongs to Lapoint, but unfortunately not. I booked this surf camp just because of lapoint. I have been to so many lapoint surf camp around the world and been super happy with my stay, and in joining it a lot! But this time it’s was horrible at my stay at Laola surfcamp in El Salvador. I hade surf lessons that I haven’t been happy with. This wasn’t what I hopped for, and the lesson didnt reach my expectations and the attitude of the instructors. Overall it was an uncomfortable experience. For example the instructor just left me in the waves even if I was scared and pushed me to the bottom. He was rude and didn’t listens or talks to me during my lesson. He didn’t encouraged me or make me felt comfortable or seen in the water. I told the manager Miguel about this and hoped he would understand. He has been cold and not helpful at all seen day one. He took super long time to even answer my questions and have no understanding of my surf experience with the bad instructor. Also he rolled his Eyes after he saw the board I was going to surf on my own (He has never seen my surf, and his attitude was awful) He gave me a new instructor and that one was mor helpful but I didn’t get out what I wanted to accomplish in my practice of a surf lesson. He didn’t talked to me what I could improv or be better on. And I have been surfing for 4 years so I don’t just wanted to be push all the time. It was a language barrier. After having this experience I didn’t felt I get what I wanted to achieve in my surf lessons and it doesn’t work out with this instructors. I decided to talk to Miguel the manager once again that I don’t want any more surf lessons because it doesn’t work out and I wanted a refund for the 2 lessons I haven’t hade yet! I have been paying a lot of money to in joy sometimes that just have been a really uncomfortable and bad experience. I came to Laola to improve my surf to be a better surfer and I haven’t achieved any of that just been badly treated. Even if I told Miguel all of this he doesn’t help me out or have any service or hospitality skills. I felt so bad staying there so I moved out 2 days earlier befor the camp ending! That place just make me feel super bad and unwelcome!

I went to Laola in January of 2024 and stayed in a double room with my friend. The villa was beautiful and Ivan’s food was excellent everyday. The camp was well organized with itineraries and menus sent each day to review. I felt safe at this location with a security guard on site. I had a great surf instructor Manu, who was patient and so much fun. I would also recommend the photo package as you get some really great shots from the surf lessons. Overall I would love to come back to this spot!

10/10 recommend booking a surf camp or even just a week stay here. I’ve been back now 3 times. The location is out of this world, waking up in the morning to check the surf and being directly in front of one of the best waves- unreal. We did a 1 week surf camp, which includes, 1-1 lessons with an instructor, breakfast, lunch and a couple dinners on site. The staff is super awesome, we had 2 social hosts Rosaly and Paulina who made the experience unforgettable and would coordinate going into town for dinner the other few nights. Booking and check in was great, we were greeted by their camp manager Miguel- who was making sure everything day-to-day at camp was taken care of, which was helpful, he checked in before we arrived to prep transfer information and get any dietary restrictions. Another plus, was they partner with a loc tour company who does waterfall and volcano hiking tours. Overall super satisfied with my experience, loved the location, food, and all the staff!

The most fun and most beautiful location literally steps from the ocean. Everyone here is so kind it took everything in me to not quit my job and stay forever. My surf instructor was incredible and I don't think I've had a better opportunity to learn so much in such a short amount of time. I am already planning when I will return ❤️
