Stanton House El Paso

We stayed one night and from the moment we met the valet for our car until the final check out at the front desk, my wife and I were impressed with how genuinely friendly and welcoming the entire staff was. Everyone was quick to talk about El Paso and its history as well as the current downtown revitalization efforts. We did not eat at the hotel but did enjoy some friendly conversation with the bartender in the afternoon. Our room was quite spacious and we both enjoyed the large rainfall shower. Our room was quiet and we rested well. If we were traveling through El Paso again, we would certainly stay here and recommend that you do as well.

As soon as we get walked through the doors we knew were in for a special kind of dining experience. The uptown ambience was immediate. The decor was modern. There was an air of sleekness to this restaurant. I don’t mind saying that I was a bit intimidated upon entering. However all that was put to rest as soon as we were seated and greeted by our server Desiree. Disarmed of any expectations of pretentiousness, she immediately and naturally put us at ease and assured us that she would be happy to help us navigate our rare journey through this fine dining experience . Encouraged by her enthusiasm and confidence we opened our menus and began asking questions. Desiree expertly and enthusiastically explained and described the dishes for us. As a starter my nephew Seth chose the Cheese and Provisions, a wonderful plate with meats and cheeses that I can’t even pronounce and tastes that I can’t even describe! I chose a soup to start, the Signature Corn & Truffle Soup, a close decision over the Mexican Butter, which I will have next time! Savory and beautifully dished, I was grateful again for our server’s knowledge, it was just as she described! For our entrees Seth chose the Dry Aged New York Prime, cooked to perfection and sliced up on the plate juices flowing, along with the Whipped Potatoes as an enhancement. Intrigued by a dish called Tlacoyo, Desiree again came through and described the dish for me, a sort of Masa topped with chilmole, mushrooms and asadero. Wonderfully plated, the first bite took me back all the way to grandma and her holiday tamale masa! Interestingly, I am a proud carnivore, far from a vegetarian but the dishes that intrigued me and that I ultimately chose were vegetarian and I have (maybe) changed my perspective after this meal! We were so happy we chose this restaurant, the food was different and delicious, the atmosphere was elegant and relaxed, and our server Desiree is nothing but a treasure! One interesting observation was that there were a few people dining alone, and they were enjoying themselves and being treated with the utmost kindness and attention. Very encouraging to see that as I enjoy dining alone as well and appreciate not being made to feel as if the table with 8 people is more important than the one person treating themselves to a nice meal and their own company. Nobody here grouses for gratuity. I highly recommend Taft-Diaz, it is an experience , and I cant wait to try the breakfast and lunch menus as well!

Th suite was wonderful! Extremely comfortable bed, lounge, and outdoor patio. Staying at the Stanton is always consistent. The lovely staff are intentional with how they greet customers, serve anything, and make every effort possible to ensure that you have a next to none type of experience. Desiree is a kind and caring individual. Every time I see her, I know she is full of passion and takes her tasks seriously. She embodies professionalism on many levels. In addition to her wonderful demeanor, she has taken the time to establish excellent rapport with me and excels at providing all her guests with respect and the utmost privacy. It is a rare occasion that I have the honor to recognize a stellar individual! If you are looking for a unique experience- the Stanton is it! Entrust them with your special occasions, they do not disappoint!

My wife and I stay at The Stanton every trip through El Paso and look forward to the room/bed/bedding/showers as well as the food, service, artwork, atmosphere - all outstanding. Breakfast with Leslie (and Jayson) is always a bright spot as the food coupled with their professional, exemplary service is a very relaxing treat. The overall stay is transformational and a great value…!

First time attending the Stanton Hotels “ marvelous” restaurant, and was approached with good service, good food, and good hospitality. Ava has been with restaurant for four weeks and was super attentive. Didn’t miss a beat. My other server Destiny was not nervous and I’ll even though it was her second day on the job and she was a natural . As a CEO of my own company, I appreciate the service I was given, thank you to Stanton Hotel !

All the staff that work here are very helpful and kind. The restuarant served delicious food that is constructed beautifully by the Chef's on duty. The Servers that assisted us at the restuarant and speak easy are elegant and remember quiet a bit from serving you. The Valet gave great destinations/locations to check out in town also.

This place is a must! The hotel was extremely clean and the entire staff was so friendly! Eric was the one to help us with the seamless check in process. He was so nice and helpful. We stayed in a king balcony room. This hotel is beautifully decorated. If you are in El Paso, definitely stay at Stanton House.

Hands down the best place to stay in ELP! I’m a brand-committed Marriott gal, so I took a chance and forfeited earning Marriott points to stay at Stanton House. It was so worth it!! I will only stay at Stanton House whenever I’m in ELP. Thanks for a wonderful visit!

Victor at the door of the Stanton tower hotel was great. He gave us option to eat all over the neighborhood and then said we would do best at the hotel. He did not steer us wrong. We had a wonderful time.
