Not clean hotel

Hotel MLL Mediterranean Bay, S’Arenal, Mallorca. 4-star rating with Jet2holidays. The trip. We booked this only a few weeks ahead of travel, as it seemed like a bargain. It was a couple of hundred pounds cheaper per person than similar hotels. Board basis was “all-inclusive”, so we thought we knew what we would be getting as we have done this many times. Alcohol Rationing. It turns out that there is a local law in Arenal and Magaluf restricting how much alcohol can be served on “all-inclusive”: six drinks per day per person, with only a choice of beer or wine, AND it must be consumed at lunch and dinner, WITH food. Note: the wine is only half a glass.. They take your room number and tick off how many drinks you have had on a list. “Up to 3 drinks per meal, per person.” Remember, you have already paid for this, so you are going to try and get it, but 3 drinks in an hour, twice a day? Seriously? I am not making this up! Rooms. The rooms were pretty ok apart from having only a sliding, glass door between the toilet and bedroom. Turn the light on, and you are lit up like a Christmas tree. Everyone else in the room can hear every plop and fart, as well. Not ideal, considering the food issues.. You can’t wash your hands in there as the sink is in the bedroom. Not ideal. This is NOT a four star hotel. Food. You will find yourself spending a LOT of time in that toilet due to the terrible food. I'm not joking. It is even worse if you happen to be vegetarian. NONE of the dishes are marked as vegetarian or god forbid, vegan. There are no allergens listed, anywhere. Our local food standards in the UK would have closed them down on first inspection. Even dishes with “vegetable” in the name had meat hidden in it. How about finely chopped ham in the “vegetable” rice? Ground-up chicken in the “Garlic Soup” anyone? You get the idea. By the end of the five days, we were avoiding a lot of the food, but we had to go to the dining room to get our ration of cheap booze, see “rationing”, above.. We reckon an average of 3 toilet visits for each “meal”, per person. It’s that bad. Entertainment. This is a (bad) joke. We were there for five days and saw only two acts. One of them, Gosya the DJ, Twice. Remixed “house” music. The other act was billed as “Spanish Night”, but was really a drag act with beard, dragging the oldies up to dance for two hours. Not impressive. Remember, alcoholic drinks are NOT included in all-inclusive.. be prepared to be ripped off. Location. Location is up a steep hill from the beach, but pretty central. There's a bus service just up the hill. Summary. We have been to Mallorca many times before, but usually at the top of the island around Alcudia. Due to the ridiculous rules on alcohol and the way they are enforced, we will not return to Magaluf/Arenal. Ever. We don’t appreciate being treated like naughty children. We are going to avoid not only this hotel, but the entire area.

Very comfortable good & friendly staff ,very helpful especially Nelli on reception..I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family

We arrived at the hotel at 10:45pm and was greeted by a lovely lady on reception. The hotel caters for many different nationalities, the UK being the least during our stay. The room was always cleaned brilliantly by the staff and towels changed regularly. The food was fine with adequate choices throughout the day. Please note all inclusive guests can only have 3 drinks in the restaurant at lunch and 3 at dinner. There are 3 pools, one to the front, one at the rear and one on the rooftop. We never had an issue getting a sunbed. We would deffo return.
