Mariandl im Oberwirt

I visited the hotel to spend a relaxing evening at the "Gerner Dult" fair. The hotel is ideally located for this, right at the entrance to the fair. The hotel has a parking deck, so parking is also easy. The hotel is ultra-modern, featuring a mix of old and new, which I really liked (for example, the fact that the original roof beams are visible in the room). The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and modern, and very comfortable given its size. I would stay at the hotel again anytime.

The room smelled of smoke, the breakfast was very poor (especially for the price), and €170 for two people/one night was more than excessive. There was noise from the street at night (noisy teenagers around 2:30 a.m.). The breakfast room was uncomfortable. We won't be back.

We booked a room at the Mariandl for a wedding. First of all, I'd like to commend the two young ladies at reception; they were incredibly friendly and helpful. Regarding the apartment, there are a few things that could and should be improved. We only stayed for two nights, so it's not a problem if our jackets are hanging over the chair, as there's no coat rack at all, let alone hooks, even though there's plenty of space. The same goes for the bathroom. The open glass windows also took some getting used to, as you could see inside, which was very unpleasant. The value for money for the breakfast is simply poor. Since we've stayed in a lot of hotels, we can compare them well. For €15.50, I expect a fantastic breakfast. It was a completely standard selection, nothing more. I know there are staff shortages everywhere, but if a bride and groom reserve a table for 20 people in the morning, it should work out. I had to remind the waiter in the morning, and they quickly put a few tables together because they'd forgotten. Since the rooms and breakfast are quite expensive, it absolutely corresponds to the real service :-(

We had booked a large apartment for four people very early on for a wedding. Due to a system error, I received a call asking if we would be happy with two equally large rooms. I agreed. When we arrived, we were given a very small room with a 1.40m bed. I asked if there were any larger beds available – and they said no, they were all so small, which surprised me immensely. At the wedding, I learned that there were indeed much larger rooms and beds, so we went back to complain. The young employee was really very helpful, and we were finally able to move to the last available room. We lost a whole hour. I wrote an email to the manager, describing our unsatisfactory stay – and unfortunately, I never received a response. Our night wasn't particularly good either, as there was a huge, rumbling air conditioning unit in the back courtyard right outside our room. Overall, it's certainly a good place to stay overnight—but the rooms are very run-of-the-mill, the hooks on the barriers were already coming loose, and the mattresses had a rubber covering, which is common in hospitals. Another thing to keep in mind: it's a party location, and there's a lot going on, especially on weekends.
