Unfortunately we were ignored numerous times while trying to check in. Was again ignored when trying to order food and drink at the bar because apparently I wasn't a resident. The showers were freezing cold and no milk with tee and coffee machine. The room and establishment itself was lovely.

The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you . The place is amazing and the hotel and amenities are excellent .the children loved it and want to come back soon . The accommodation is very clean and everything you need would definitely return

Lovely place to go. Called in for a drink and a bite to eat whilst visiting Ruthin. It was busy but the staff definitely made time to make us welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. I look forward to returning soon as this place has been refurbished since my last visit and I’m keen to see more.

The room was amazing, the en-suite was beautiful. However the toilets flush needed pressing both 2/3tokes to flush. The WiFi didn’t work in the room or where we ate. First morning we didn’t get a choice for breakfast and they didn’t have any milk to drink. My tea was made for me. Nothing was on offer, you had to ask for everything. Second day they ran out of ketchup. Service was slowish. The second day we ran out of toilet paper and no one knew where it was kept. Not sure they were ready for guests. But beautiful room, bed was super comfy!

Great to see an old hotel we used to frequent many years ago when we lived in Ruthin being given a good refresh with a stylish interior, welcoming friendly staff and an excellent chef. Really enjoyable Mother’s Day lunch with family and friends. Shame that some of the locals on the site complained about waiting times (what do you expect on days of celebration). So good to see a nice atmosphere and attention to detail.
