Lyons Woodlands Hall

Unfortunately we were ignored numerous times while trying to check in. Was again ignored when trying to order food and drink at the bar because apparently I wasn't a resident. The showers were freezing cold and no milk with tee and coffee machine. The room and establishment itself was lovely.

First of all thank you for your lies of a response, the fact your a business that is actually putting lies on a platform is shocking. Malicious - clearly a LIE because nothing was resolved in December and nothing was resolved by the time we left in January. The fact you have even took the time out to lie on a platform says a lot about you as a person. You still owe me £50, Paula lied to me regarding my booking that I booked myself and then you tried to have my off telling me the 2nd week was 800 pound more. No matter how much time & effort you put in to trying to change woodlands it’s never going to work when you’re all based on lies. It’s all in my solicitors hands now, but one thing I will say you won’t make me out to be a liar to cover your own backs. Pictures speak for themselves, as for your comment I caused a lot of stress. I have no sympathy as none of you had sympathy for us when you left us in a lodge full of human poo everywhere, absolutely riddled with germs we all ended up I’ll and on antibiotics which medal records will show that we attended a Welsh hospital. 2 weeks we were there for, because we had an amazing time in 2023 and you completely destroyed our holiday with the way you all handled the situation in 2024. That’s not down to malicious accusations that’s down to the actual true point that you did absolutely nothing to the way we got treated at woodlands in December 2024. At the end of the day I have all the proof, a lot more proof via messages with all names showable, emails of abuse that was said about us. So please don’t come on this platform making me out to be a liar. I’ll see use in court.

After reading the reviews up until December last year I wasn't expecting much from this hotel but it sounded very reasonable for a 2 night stay so thought we would give it a go. What a surprise we got, the hotel is now under new management and has had a compleat refurbishment and there is also going to be a new swimming pool and spa opening soon, the staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for you! The newly refurbished bedrooms were tastefully done and very comfortable and the restaurant was lovely with great views. The food was excellent with a good choice. All in all a lovely couple of night stay, thanks to the manager and all the staff, we will be back!!!

This was our second year of going to woodlands for our Christmas, just myself my partner & our children. 2023 was amazing as Joan was working there and it was all well managed, 2024 absolute nightmare from bookings to telling me I hadn’t paid to then realising I had paid, all the stress leading up to our holiday on the 20th December 2024 was horrendous but regardless we still had our 2 weeks break that we were all looking forward too. First week we was in a caravan and itwas amazing no problems what so ever, for the 2nd week we booked the lodge with the hot tub and alls I’m going to say is the picture will tell you exactly how I felt when I walked in to that lodge, £479 I paid for a week in that disgusting lodge staff left us in there with bedding that was stained with urine, the was human poo all over the lodge, the hot tub smelt horrendous all the cutlery was disgusting and alls they did was transfer us to an other caravan after us kicking off the morning after, to deep clean the lodge. I spoke with Michelle and also Paula, who are both unbelievable. Paula offered us £200 back off the holiday or 50% off if we was to book again. One thing is for sure I will never return to woodlands again, it’s absolutely disgusting now since all the old staff have gone. Plus I got given screen shots of the staff slating us because we kept telling them daily about all the problems in the lodge, there was human poo in the radiators, on the walls smudge into the doors, all over the curtains, carpets & even the settee. We got left with spare bedding full of stain blood & urine. Unless you want to come away from this holiday park poorly, or sleep in accommodation like this then I’d avoid it at all costs because it really isn’t worth the money. The swimming pool still isn’t done, the whole park is muddy and not looked after at all.

The place is absolutely disgusting, the staff are all two faced and slag you off behind your backs. Management are just as bad no interest in the site what so ever, the cleaners can’t be bothered to clean the properly. My children ended up ill and taking to hospital whilst on the caravan park. Never again will I return to woodlands hall, 2023 was amazing 2024 put me off for life. I’d rather watch paint dry for 2 weeks than return here for an holiday. Difference is woodlands don’t like the fact I’ve disclosed all this information plus proof of the lodge in the state we got given it in, human poo all over the lodge, human poo on the settee all Over curtains and the carpets, blocked drain the main bathroom because the child that had stayed in before had poo in the bath, boiler kept cutting off but apprantleu it had been like that for nearly a year, all the cutlery was dirty all the trays still had greese on. The list is never ending and I’ve never been so glad to get home. So if you want a nice clean relaxing holiday I wouldn’t choose woodlands hall because you will highly be disappointed. We was also slagged off by staff which I have screenshots of but for data protection I can’t upload but the pictures will be uploaded Of the lodge we got put in. We also couldn’t use the hot tub whilst we were there which my Children was really gutted by, my fiancé had no spare cover as it was left in the walk in wardrobe stained with blood and urine and it absolutely stunk. We phoned the receptionist to see what we could do and we got told we had to wait till the Saturday because no one Was there. Over all the experience as put us off and we will never return here.

The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you . The place is amazing and the hotel and amenities are excellent .the children loved it and want to come back soon . The accommodation is very clean and everything you need would definitely return
