Nice hotel, spacious room and luxury bathroom. Eating is moderate. Beautiful pool and quite large. Breakfast: the necessary is not more than that. dinner: the service was good. Eating a lot very badly. The carpaccio was delicious, the mossels were very small, so many shells and little mossel meat. The entrecote was not really eating, no flavor, no whole baking. A shoe soil is more delicious, I fear. We got something different after we complained about it, but that was entrecote in paintings for a bread stick or something like that. The slipton should be baked in cream butter (I eat it regularly in IJmuiden at the Head of the Haven), but it seemed to be steamed here, because it was very pale, and we were all a good day outside, but the food was bad. We got a glass of wine for nothing because of the entrecote, but, on the contrary, we got a carpaccio bill for the potato while I was allowed to choose between bread and potato to which I received a reply' is there? Yes, it is there. You're eating much more good at the corner of the potato farmer.

Op zich een keurig en schoon hotel in het centrum van Emmen. Parkeren op 1 minuut lopen(betaald) Ontbijt is voldoende en verzorgd maar zéker niet uitgebreid! De prijs/kwaliteit verhouding vonden wij zeker NIET goed. Mbt de 2 persoonskamer: - 1 fauteuil(tje) en 1 bureau stoel. Waarom geen 2 normale aangename stoelen? - 2 handdoek haakjes op de badkamer deur. Waarom geen 2 stangen om je handdoek te laten drogen of een radiator. -Geen plateautje waar je je shampoo/zeep op kan zetten in de douche. Deze moet op de grond staan. -Geen koelkast (staat vermeld bij de kamerinfo) Wil je persé in het centrum overnachten, dan is dit hotel een prima keus. Maar..... heb je een auto bij je, dan zou ik voor van der Valk gaan, ca 10 minuten rijden. - Ontbijt buffet is zeker 3x uitgebreider, zoals met verse jus de orange, gerookte zalm.... - Grote kamers met 2 goede stoelen. - Koelastje - Gratis parkeren. - Slapen met je raam open en zelfs dan hoor je niets door de landelijke ligging. - Zwembad (gratis)

Beautiful hotel, very welcoming. The location on the edge of town was awesome for my usual late night walk, the neighbourhood is very cosy and quiet. The family room we stayed in was spacious and provided enough luxury. The beds were comfy and the bathroom with tub was clean and pretty. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant is really beautifully decorated. All in all a wonderful experience.

Horrible service. Unhelpful and quite frankly rude. I had emailed the hotel to say that we would be arriving after 11pm for check in. I received a polite reply that said, ” That is no problem”. I continued to keep the hotel informed va email once we left Amsterdam. They did not inform us that there was a fesival in thier town and that it would be difficult to get to the hotel. After driving around for an hour and asking several people, I phoned the Hotel directly. The man who I spoke too was the most unfriendly, unsympathetic and unhelpful person. He basically said that it would be impossible to get to the hotel and that he could not help us. When I pressed for more information, he suggested I park the car anywhere that I can find a place and walk to the hotel. When I asked how far away we were and how long it would take to to walk to the hotel, he laughed and said that it would take us all night. Very disappointing and disheartening when we had 2 rooms booked and paid 691 euros (345.50 euros per room; 1 comfort double and 1 comfort twin). We arrived approximately 15 minutes later (around 3am!). I explained that the service was terrible in getting there. They tried to blame it on all the drunk people at the festival when in fact, the service from the hotel was unsatisfactory. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was good (at the restaurant across the street) but we were only there for a few hours. The service of the staff in the morning made up for the unacceptable, rude, unprofessional and unhelpful man from the night before. He should not be working in the tourism industry. Disappointingly, this was our first time staying at this hotel and it will be the last. Which is a shame as we like to support small, family run businesses. I do not recommend staying here during the weekend that we stayed in June. We were there for the MotoGP and will stay elsewhere next time. I suggest you do the same.
