Holiday Inn Express & Suites Edinburg-Mcallen Area

Everything was good. The room is very nice. I wish I had a hot tub but besides that everything else was great.

The beds were super comfy and the rooms were clean. The only problem was the breakfast. First day, they were out of everything except bread, cinnamon rolls, cranberry juice and decaf coffee. Next day, there were more items but the quality was poor. We will try another hotel next time so that we can eat breakfast there. Had to pay to eat out both days. Disappointing. Don't advertise a hot breakfast if you can't provide it.

The overall stay was good. The room could use some repairs but is generally workable. The hallway in the room had a brown light fixture and one non-functioning light switch. The restroom could use a vent to reduce mold buildup, as some specks were evident. The lobby was tranquil throughout our stay, but there was only one working elevator which was a bit of a hiccup waiting for it.

I am an IHG member and I was on a personal trip to Mcallen and syated at this property from Jul 7-9, 2023. I did all the reservations from ther Holiday Inn/IHG portal. At the time of my booking I was charged 271.59 USD including all the charges but later on when I checked my credit card statement I wasd charged 72.83 USD and hence I called up the hotel and as per them actual charge is 272.83 USD and additional 100.00 USD charged are towards security deposit which should get refunded in a week or two. But at the end of the day they overcharged me by 1.24 USD under pretext of local/state taxes where as same charges are charged to me in my priginal booking. This means they are cheating/conning people by overcharging. property itself wasn't that great. Water tap in the wash basin was having very low water pressure like a tricle of water. 4 slice bread toaster in the breakfast area was only half functional and local person was aware about the same. Breakfast choices were also very limited. Overall hotel which over charges the clients and provied below par services

Couldn’t ask more from this hotel. The staff was excellent. The rooms clean and everything worked. The breakfast was delicious. And the pool was great to have. Also the location was close to everything,

The hotel is in a business area. It was a nice comfortable stay. Has good breakfast options all amenities that are offered are great. This area is close to all cities in the Rio Grande valley will definitely make a return stay for this hotel again.
