The initial room was DISGUSTINGLY FILTHYand the refrigerator was not working properly. Second room just as FILTHY!!!! Not given another opportunity to change rooms Was promised housekeeping would arrive to rectify the issues. It never happened! Each time I returned from work I found the room with the exact same issues. Front desk was of no assistance. On last night of stay Front Desk employee told me I could come downstairs and get clean sheets to put on the bed. The sheets that were on the bed were stained with bodily fluid and filled with holes. The bedskirt had a large red stain. There was a dead bug under the pillow. The balcony was covered in bird feces. The bathroom had no heat. The chair apolstery had a disgusting stains, some of which appeared to be of sexual activity origin. The bed table lampshade was severely stained. I took photos of everything!!!!! With all of these major issues, the owner sent word to the Front Desk Mgr. Taylor to offer me a 15% refund on my stay! 15% is equivalent to a spit in the face! Sadly, I had not checked reviews of the hotel prior to booking. Over the years I have stayed at several Choice Hotels and only once had issues with the condition of my room and the Manager immediately refunded me for the horrible experience. This hotel in Edgewater is completely unacceptable! I see there are good and even gleaming reviews from many guests so apparently there is a lot of inconsistency in the quality of housekeeping and staff. The breakfast offerings were abysmal!!!! Bargain basement pastries that were stale. No prepared oatmeal. Given packets that I suppose guests are supposed to microwave. Overripe brown bananas. Couldn't even get a cup of decaf coffee because the cannister was broken. Coomon sense would say to use one of the other cannisters to allow decaf drinking guests the same opportunity for coffee! I had to go out and buy breakfast items! Extremely low class establishment primarily staffed with low class employee service. Spare yourself the stress and uncomfortability by booking elsewhere. There is a Hilton within close proximity. I would think better accomodations can be found there. Best wishes to all for safe and enjoyable travels!

We have just returned for being here for two weeks as a family. Firstly welcome was great. Reception staff - Emily, Noami and Kim were lovely! really helpful and nice - Hilton you picked three nice people there for there jobs! We had the apartment room as there was four of us! - nice, clean tidy and amble space. Kitchen and fridge was useful. We were out for most of the day, but nice to come home, shower and relax. Breakfast was ample and nice, lots of options. All I would say is maybe do pancakes daily. I would have liked Baked Beans and Fried eggs, but the bagels and other stuff was fine. ALL of the staff were lovely, friendly and very happy. We would have no reason not to stay here again and would recommend it for families! There is a bus stop down the road - 5 min walk straight into the Port Authority in Central New York! for two adults and two kids the return ticket is $22 ! which is great. There are lots of restaurants locally which is great. I would defiantly come back here again if we have the opportunity. Hats off to you ! Thanks for a great stay. 100% Hilton :) xx

I was very leery about booking this location because of some of the reviews. I’m also smart enough to know that some people have unreal expectations when traveling and staying in shared spaces. With that being said I’m happy I chose this place primarily because of its location being near my mom in Harlem who I was visiting. We were two women traveling alone so I was not comfortable with an Airbnb for security primarily. I felt very safe here and had zero issues. The staff was always courteous and professional and very helpful. Our room was directly across from the elevator and we only heard it if the TV was off. Our room was very clean and housekeeping staff was very accommodating with extra towels. We did not eat anything but there is food available for sale. We used Uber eats delivery and ate at many different places. There are also restaurants up and down 125th street only 2 blocks away. Both chain and local cuisine available. There is a small refrigerator in the room and a microwave in the lobby for use. Free Ice is also provided in the lobby. I’m so happy I booked here it was only a 15 minute walk to my mom and 4 minutes in an Uber. Lord Uber truly blessed us this trip only $8 each trip to moms was very affordable and never waited more than 3 minutes for a ride. Took us to all the attractions we wanted to see as well as shopping. A great trip and I’ll definitely be booking here again real soon.

Me and Harlem go way back. Aloft Harlem used to be my go to hotel before I started staying more on the lower east side. In fact, a Marriott employee who used to work at Aloft directed me to this brand new, just opened hotel. I was excited to return to uptown and stay in this spot! I wanted to love this hotel. I don’t like giving lackluster reviews and feeling like a Karen. But over two nights, the transgressions just piled up. I’m a Marriott ambassador who stays in hotels about 240 nights a year. I never bring up my status. This might be the first time I actually uttered in frustration, “it’s September and I’ve already spent 27,000 dollars at these hotels, why is this so hard?” Upon checkin, it took almost an hour. This is even more frustrating because my first night was business and my company always sends a spending authorization. Two days in a row I checked with the hotel to see if they had received the authorization. They lost the first one. They mismanaged the second one. I always call or chat ahead to ensure a smooth checkin. It was still a mess when I arrived. The room was a “Central Park view.” I should have known better; I don’t know why I believed this title. I know New York geography better than that. I was looking into a building. Central Park facing or in the direction of Central Park shouldn’t be called central park view. I had changed from the city view to the Central Park view before arrival and I guess I’m glad I did because while they were trying to figure out my reservation they mentioned they had oversold the city view rooms. I will say the black out shades do a great job. The bed was fine. Sheets were a little co****. This hotel costs close to what a Moxy costs, so their sheets should be comparably smooth and comfortable. The bathroom was an absolute joke. Maybe not all the rooms are like mine, but mine may as well not have had a door. As you can see in my photos, the door is for “art.” There is a huge gap where you can see everything! Like probably 12 inches or greater of a gap! Who designed this and thought it was a great idea?! Glad I was alone. The air unit is SUPER loud. Doesn’t bother me as much since we usually have a fan on at home, but it was so loud that when it came on, I had to turn the TV up. It will likely bother some people. And you can hear everything through the walls. Oh, and the toilet clogged twice. And one of the days, the hot water was off all day for repairs, though that’s out of anyone’s control. It’s just giving context to a very un-relaxing stay. Back to the front desk mess—I later noted a destination fee on my bill (I had two separate bills because one night was business and one was personal). I don’t mind destination fees—I’ve had them at many Marriott properties. But I was never informed of this one. I even asked at the restaurant, and they had no idea. Excellent service. Clean facilities. Great location. On service, the staff is courteous and responsive (from the front desk, to the maintenance people). Some go above and beyond, like Nanette, the lady in charge of breakfast. She made us feel at home. I had planned to spend one week at this hotel and then switch to other hotels to experience other places in the NY area. However, we were treated so well by Nanette that I extended the stay and spend the 3 weeks here. Housekeeping was very accomodating. I had business calls most of the day and did not want noise. I needed the cleaning, which they do only every other day, between calls, other days I just wanted towels and other supplies, which they promptly provided. Sometimes, I ordered DoorDash. Front desk kindly called my room if I had missed the deliveryp text. I did not want lingering food odor in the room. I just place the bag with containers outside and they picked it up regularly. They have a system. The facilities: restaurant, bar, sitting areas, elevators, etc. were always clean. I felt very comfortable in all of these areas. The room was large and clean. I had a large desk to work on. My view was towards the hill, which was very nice. The bar/restaurant at night offers good quality food at a good price. On location, there are several restaurants in the area within walking distance. There is a CVS and a HomeGoods one block away. The hotel is a short walk from the river. If you stay here, take a morning and/or evening walk and enjoy the NY skyline. You can see the view in my pictures. I felt safe walking around the hotel. One word of caution: if hotel noise bothers you, don't stay here. The floors are thiner than I am used to. We could hear every time the child upstairs jumpped off the bed or if they dropped something. And the guests below us could hear us walking (they called!) and we are small ladies. During my week-long stay at Hi New York hostel from December 14th to 21st, I found the overall experience to be quite enjoyable. The check-in process was seamless, thanks to the ever-present front desk staff who were helpful and efficient, ensuring a smooth start to my stay The proximity of the canteen and cafeteria next to the reception area added to the convenience. The cafeteria offered a delightful selection of freshly baked goods and various beverages, making it a pleasant spot to unwind. While I explored nearby Bodegas for budget-friendly groceries, the hostel's public kitchen became my go-to for preparing breakfast and dinner. Although the communal kitchen occasionally suffered from post-use neglect, the dedicated hostel staff ensured it remained clean and well-equipped. The cleanliness of the shared facilities extended to the toilets, which were consistently well-maintained and stocked with amenities. This attention to hygiene contributed significantly to a positive overall experience. Despite booking a bed in a 12-bed room, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and the daily cleaning routine carried out by the diligent hostel staff. Adding to the positive experience, the Hi New York hostel's location proved to be exceptionally convenient for exploring major destinations. The hostel's close proximity to a subway station, just a 2-minute walk away, made traveling around the city a breeze. This accessibility enhanced the overall convenience of my stay, allowing me to easily reach and explore various attractions without any hassle. The strategic location near the subway station was undoubtedly a valuable asset for anyone looking to make the most of their time in the city. In essence, Hi New York hostel provided a comfortable and budget-friendly accommodation option with its friendly staff, convenient amenities, and well-maintained communal spaces. My stay was marked by a harmonious balance of affordability and quality service.

I had an overall good experience staying at the Kama Central Park, during my weekend getaway to NYC. The staff was pretty friendly and helpful, especially since I was a ***** who accidently booked a stay at a women's only dorm on Agoda (especially since Agoda didn't really specify that the hostel had Men only dorms, female only dorms and mixed dorms, and when I booked there was only one kind of dorm available) and they were still willing to accommodate me and they did. I got in about 15 minutes before check in and they still booked me in too, which was great. I really got only a couple of negative things to say about my stay and the first was they only give you one towel for your entire stay since they're pretty short on towels, so if you plan on staying there I'd recommend you bring a couple of towels of your own. The other thing is the showers aren't all the same quality. I wouldn't recommend showering in the one person bathroom especially if you get dorm 506 like I did because the water in that shower is cold. The men's shower on that floor however is better (apart from that one always running) because the water isn't cold but not really hot either, it's just ok. I liked the little console in the bed, and that let's you turn on the airflow, change the light color, dim the lights, etc. as long as you got your card. I'll also admit, I got a little worried for leaving my luggage in the bed because the doors to the bed pod, because the bed doors don't lock, but if you keep your belongings in the bed with the doors shut and out of plain view then you shouldn't worry about anybody stealing your belongings. I had a great time in NYC, but if you stay there then you might want to remember to bring a couple of towels and shower in the shower rooms, not the bathroom in your dorm.

its was a great location in New jersey. Right By the George Washington Bridge and closer to Bronx NY. Rooms are Very clean bed are Very comfy over all services are good. Front desk staff are Very helpful. I would Stay again.

The room was small for two people (we had room with only one window and no chair as pictured), but otherwise the room was comfortable. We picked the hotel to be close to a concert at the United Palace a few blocks northwest of the hotel and to explore a new neighborhood in NYC. It checked all those boxes. My main concern: pricey for the one night. Tips: Malecon restaurant up Broadway a few blocks was good for a big Cuban breakfast with excellent cafe con leche. Close to a park on the east side of the island for a jog. Kinda fun running over High Bridge (part of park just east of the hotel) that used to be an aqueduct and touching the Bronx. We used Spothero to find a parking lot 3 blocks away for $17 for 24 hours. Someone else mentioned the thermostat being hard to control. I wasn't there long enough, but I think it turned back on by itself when I thought I'd turned it off during quiet spring night.
