We just returned from a week’s stay at La Plage. We were Americans traveling with a group of Austrians from Vienna. There was much to like about our visit. The setting directly on the Mediterranean is picture perfect, the property is expansive and the food at our nightly buffet was very good. We had a room on the first (European) floor of the hotel. It was simple and very comfortable and clean. We had a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. Our recommendation for the future would be to rent a car for the length of any stay. That can be done right at the property. As there is no close by town except the not too interesting Sorso, wonderful hour long drives to both Alghero and Stintino were highlights. There are very nice pools, but the beach is only a rock one.

All inclusive program - food: Simply to say - five stars: 1) amazing taste 2) no problem with quantity - regular refilling 3) wide choice - changed everyday Accommodation: There are four types of accommodation: 1) hotel - probably the best, 2) three types of bungalows (please, see the resort map): a) bungalows A-D: the largest ones, near the sea and restaurant, b) bungalows R1-R4: standard size, very good status, well equiped, c) bungalows R5-R8: standard size, reasonable status. The main problem with bungalows is the fact, that the resort is located on the hill, so to return to a bungalow R5-R8 you have to go approximately half kilometer upto the hill (when you reached your bungalow, you can take shower). In other words, if you have a chance to choose, where to be accomodated, take the above into account.

I greet everyone who is thinking about a holiday in this hotel complex. We were staying in houses La Plage Noire Hotel & Resort and it was really great. It is a very beautiful hotel, which has its lodges for accommodation and there are swimming pools. Animators are dedicated to you and your kids all day. We had excellent programs that made our stay more pleasant. The animators as well as their boss made our day and free time pleasant. They are a great team and I have to name them personally: Alba, Isotta, Diego, Alex, Gianluca, Matar, Arthur, Peppe, Francesco, Michelangelo, Emiliano, Veronica. I want to thank them very much for everything. Whether they were dances in the pool or on the beach. thank you again for everything ... I give you 5 stars ... Branislav, Silvia, Martina, Jan, Ema, Sandika and Viky ....

I came to the hotel with the intention of watching the WRC Sardegna rally. The hotel is old and badly maintained. Staff do not speak English but enjoyable. I have to praise Julia, Ilaria, Dario and Gavino in the restaurant. This staff is pleasant and if asked to improve your holiday. The food was large, but the quality was very simple. I was most of the time outside the hotel with a car rental. The price corresponds to the quality.

The surrounding nature was beautiful so much that I wouldn’t even mind the old ish look of the room (although it did look slightly worn off) or the struggle to communicate in english with the hotel staff (I tried my very poor Italian language skills and it was quite fun) but what we did mind (and most of all the guests I spoke to) was the rudeness and unfriendliness of the staff. No “hello” or “buingiorno” when we walked into the room, no smile, just rude looks. We even witnessed a chef (older gentleman with grey hair and beard) arguing with guests!!! Unbelievable!! Especially the chef’s attitude to some of us was so horrible, it would definitely not make me recommend this hotel to anyone.

Bywały też braki z wodą i awaria prądu. Śniadanie to raczej żart, co chwilę wszystkiego brakuje. Jeden rodzaj mielonki, jeden rodzaj salami i jeden żółtego sera.

It is a very beautiful hotel complex, located above the sea. At first glance, a WOW! Everything is white, tiled roofs, small apartments with front gardens, the blue sky, the blue sea - rustic. Since we were there in the off-season, we naturally saw signs of wear and tear (rust, peeling plaster, cables not properly encased in concrete, secured tripping hazards, etc.). But you could overlook that. Location & surroundings 5.0 If you come by coach, as we did, the hotel complex is ideal. You can go for walks, use the pool or the sea in the evenings, and go on various excursions during the day. We were there at the end of September with a tour group. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't always good, but it was warm - around 20 degrees in the evenings. There is practically nothing outside the hotel. There is supposed to be a small supermarket nearby. There are many excursion destinations. Alghero, Bosa and Porto Cervo are particularly worth mentioning. There is also a trip to the island of Corsica. Room 5.0 Whitewashed walls, an anteroom with a bed to the side, a bedroom, bathroom with shower. There are 2 air conditioning units that can be individually adjusted. The bathroom was unfortunately very narrow and if you wanted to wash your legs in the shower you had to open the door, it was so small. Enough coat hangers in the closet - which is often not the case. Everything was very clean. High bed, slept well. Service 4.0 At reception we were given a wristband and a note that we had to pay 40 EUR for all-inclusive drinks (white wine, red wine, mineral water, various juices, cola, from the vending machine - NO beer) - but ONLY to be consumed in the dining room. The 40 EUR also included the visitor's tax for 5 days. However, there was no receipt for this when we left. We had no reason to go to reception. Gastronomy 5.0 On the first evening we were given one glass of wine and one glass of water per person at the table. Then just one glass. Either wine or water. The evening meal was extensive and varied. Unfortunately there was hardly any warm vegetables to go with the various types of meat and fish. Very nice starter buffet. Lots of Mediterranean food, cold and warm. The breakfast buffet was unfortunately always the same. White rolls (but that's how it is in Italy). Only ham and salami Milanese and one type of sliced cheese platter. The same every day. Very thinly sliced cucumbers and - something I've never seen before - the tomatoes were finely sliced like sausage and piled on a platter. Of course there was lots of fresh fruit, canned fruit and yoghurt. Unfortunately you could only enter the dining room from outside. That meant we stood in front of the entrance with umbrellas three times. Everything was set, but it wasn't opened until 7 p.m. in the evening and 7 a.m. sharp. The staff were friendly. We were happy to tip on the last day.

Unfortunately the director Simone turned out to be a person without competence, completely inefficient and unwilling to resolve the problems raised by us guests. Several times he responded rudely and rudely to our completely legitimate requests as paying guests.
