A good spot for easy links to Edinburgh nearby. Reasonably priced. Room are comfortable if a bit dated. There isn’t a lot of noise insulation so we ended up hearing quite normal conversation from the adjacent room. The best feature here is the excellent restaurant (separately rated)

Loved being in this lovely Inn for dinner last night. We were a few minutes late ,no problem. My young granddaughters need a gluten free meal. Everything was lovely and safe for them . My seabass was delicious. The staff were very pleasant . Highly recommend this establishment.

Stayed for one night on the way up to Fife. The hotel room was ok, nothing special and the bathroom was very small. However the bed was comfortable enough. The pub is very good and we enjoyed an excellent dinner here. The Venison pie was a triumph. Service was very good too. Breakfast was also delicious, the full Scottish was tasty and very filling. Definitely a place to consider if you are in the area.

Very enjoyable one night stay at the start of March. Owners were really helpful in allowing us to re-book after our friends were unable to make the original date due to illness, giviing us an extra 24 hours to confirm a new date. Had dinner and menu choice is wonderful. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was probably the best presented breakfast we've ever seen! Will definitely be back at some point!

Stayed overnight due to attending a wedding in the area. The team here were so welcoming and went above and beyond to assist us. The facilities were great and breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

The bedroom was comfortable with fluffy pillows and a good bed. Unfortunately the bathroom was tiny with the toilet rammed between a radiator and the shower cubical. As I was only staying for one night, the cramped conditions didn't have any negative bearing on my stay.
When I walked into the restaurant, I was encouraged by the atmosphere and decor. Regrettably, my positive impression was met by a reality that was less agreeable: the surly barman needed a course in customer service and the food was disappointing. Corn chips from a packed, puff pastry lid to the steak and ale pie that was tasteless and obviously came from someone like Brake Bros. Overcooked soggy vegetables. Nobody checked on my meal and I returned to my room with no contact from the staff.
In fairness, breakfast was a different matter. Charming staff (especially the Polish waitress) and a hearty plateful of food.
