Our Hogmanay 3 night stay at Barony was very good. The staff are all lovely, friendly and spent time chatting. Our room was a bit tired but believe they are undergoing refurbishment as climbing into a corner bath for a shower was a bit precarious being of a certain age! The bands were good especially the Hogmanay Ball band. The food was excellent and service prompt. We would certainly consider going back for Hogmanay and perhaps try their tribute nights. Thanks Barony for a great Hogmanay.

The staff are lovely , very friendly and helpful. The property is dog friendly and you can take the dog into the bar area. they will bring a bowl of water and there are great walks within the grounds. The food was great, couldn't really fault the three day break, we had live entertainment every night. Would certainly go back again

Staff were excellent, bar and restaurant lovely but things were a bit dated, a smart tv in the room at the least would’ve been a bonus as very few freeview channels available, creaky floors upstairs, also drain covers came off frequently when using the pool

Attended Christmas party night 21st December- wonderful experiene, great welcome, great staff and the event was so well orgnaised and really enjoyable. The food was delicious too. Will be booking again next year-highly recomended. Thankyou to all at the hotel.

From the moment I arrived at the hotel I had a wonderful experience. I was met at reception by a wonderful gentleman who gave me the heartiest of welcomes. Friends and I used the leisure facilities that afternoon, had drinks in the bar and enjoyed a wonderful Christmas party night. I was in a single room which was very modern. Only downside were the cobwebs. Food was excellent. Breakfast was good but the coffee was not great. Loved the whole experience and will definitely be back.

I went with my kids, mid-20s and 16yrs, for a night away from Edinburgh just before Xmas. It was a Sunday, so it was quiet. The distance makes it easy to escape to for an overnighter. We went mostly for spa and gym, and we weren't disappointed. The gym, pool area, sauna and changing rooms were very clean and well- equipped and all in working order. The facilities are open till 10pm, and the best thing is we could use it after we checked out at 11am the folliwing day. Best thing about facilities for us was sauna and spay jets, so relaxing and came away feeling fantastic. The bar meal we had was excellent, the nachos were awesome and gluten- free options were clearly labelled, while the waitress also checked with the kitchen. Pizzas were great but we couldn't finish them and they boxed the remainder. Cocktails were very well presented, looked fab. Every staff member was helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and clean, although the decor was bland and furniture was a little tired- looking. Still, we loved the squeaky floorboards. The Christmas decorations were lovely but not over- the- top. We will definitely spread the word and we will return.
