This is now a fabulous village pub. Great couple own it now. We pop in with our puppy for snacks and a beer and always receive the best chats, food and drink. We will definitely become frequent visitors and planning for big family meal soon. Book as very popular.

We stayed 2 nights at the Kings Arms and will definitely stay there again. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. There was plenty of parking and the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. I can thoroughly recommend it.

This pub is still a nice pub, with good food & friendly staff, the landlord is a nice guy. What lets this pub down are a group of regular drinkers, (who are old enough to be grandfathers), in the public bar area who are foul mouthed- shouting & swearing amongst themselves, which is very intimidating for people who want a nice quiet meal. The bar staff didn’t challenge their behaviour, which didn’t help. This behaviour is only down to 4 or 5 individuals, but their effect on other customers was evident, as people left immediately after finishing their drink or meals.

Sunday 25th May, we called in this morning for breakfast, as they have just recently started offering breakfast on a Sunday, our food was absolutely beautiful. 3 choices on offer a Kings, Queens or Jesters breakfast . We had a Queens and a Jesters breakfast. We will return, our food and the service were excellent, thank you

We visited last week as an overnight stop after a trip to Alton Towers to watch Eurovision! What we thought would be just a stop off turned out to be a real hidden gem! The team at the Kings Arms couldn’t have been more helpful, my call ahead to reserve a table for dinner, and our random request to show Eurovision on the tv in the bar while we ate were met without question! I think they may have actually enjoyed it!! A beautifully well kept privately owned pub with lots of character. The food was super tasty and huge portions, with lots of choice and reasonably priced. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. The family room was beautiful, a lovely big double bed and no sofa bed for us, but two actual singles - makes all the difference when travelling with teens! If I had to have a gripe - the room was very warm. But we weren’t there long, and it was the hottest day so far this year. But probably the best bit - breakfast with the pub dogs! Breakfast was delicious - cooked to perfection and coffee freshly brewed. And the three dogs…so entertaining! Couldn’t recommend highly enough!

Easy to find, ample parking. Beautiful old hotel (16 century?) Brogan and her partner are lovely, friendly and both go out of their way to make sure that you are happy and attended to. Rooms are really clean and warm. Breakfast is fantastic, everything is fresh and cooked just as you like it. Evening meal is cozy, the menu simple but wholesome. I cannot fault anything about the place, the service, the food or the staff. Really enjoyed our 3 nights stay

stayed here in an emergency after a drunken night out and no taxis. staff were very helpful and the bedrooms were lovely. price was reasonable considering it was last minute. very well located in the village. Highly recommended for those that find themselves in a bind, or just visiting the area

Walked in to the Kings Arms, Eccleshall, today at 2 pm, on the off chance they had a table free for Sunday Lunch, fortunately they did and were serving carvery. So glad we did, as it was one of the best carvery's we have ever fallen upon, welcomed by Brianny, the new owner, we were offered a table by the wood burning stove and given our menus. Opted for the carvery and after sampling our wines headed off to the carvery counter. When asked for our choice of meat, we thought we would chance our luck and asked for a slice of all three (beef, lamb and gammon), only to be told 'of course you can', not used to that normally restricted to two! Melt in the mouth meats, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside roast potatoes, honey glazed carrots, red & green cabbage, cauliflower cheese and beautifully home cooked and unbelievably tasty home baked Yorkshire puddings, honestly one of the best Sunday roast we have ever eaten. Even had a playful argument with the chef over his term of gravy versus sauce, when you work on it for a full five days, starting by boiling beef bones to make the stock, it's a sauce in my book not a gravy, either which way it was delicious and topped off a truly marvellous meal. Cannot recommend this Sunday lunch any higher, if you ever find yourself in Eccleshall on a Sunday it's a must do!

Quite simply delicious. Both our meals looked amazing and tasted equally good. Good portion size and my sirloin was cooked medium rare to perfection.👌 Good choice of zero drink options and draft ales too. Lovely pub and great atmosphere. Will return soon, worth the travel!
