The only reason for a “one” rating is that there is no “ZERO.” The ONLY saving grace is that the window air conditioner worked. The Inn is interesting only in that it is an historic structure. It was once probably quite lovely. But you enter from the parking lot into a hall cluttered with stuff. Indeed, this is an indicator of what the rest of the inn is like--years of hoarded items, stuff, and more stuff, everywhere. Vacuums, bicycles, spare wood, all stuck in corners, an office overflowing with junk, tables covered in old newspapers. The whole place needs a deep cleaning and cleanout. The Inn was stuffy, like the windows had not been opened in years. Musty, dank, hard to breathe. With all that dirt and clutter, I would not be surprised if there were rodents and roaches. The room was small. The decor was old and dusty. The windows were filthy. As another reviewer mentioned, the bathroom was likely once a closet, and contained a tiny standup shower and toilet. And then of course, there was no hot water. The many pictures on the Inn's website illustrate wonderful breakfast options. However, we were told that breakfast was at 830am only and we were told what would be served--scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast, and fruit cup. The breakfast we received consisted of disgusting industrial powdered scrambled eggs, white toast, and cold hash browns. There was bacon and fruit cups. The coffee was absolutely undrinkable and one of our party received their coffee in a dirty mug. At breakfast, after one of our party endured a cold shower, we told the staff there was no hot water. The innkeeper told us that the hot water heater was being worked on. No offer of refund or compensation due to the lack of hot water. The owner basically said there was nothing he could do--which meant there was nothing he wanted to do to make things right. So much for customer service. "NO REFUNDS" We understand that keeping an inn of this size running well is challenging. The inn's website belies what the inn actually is like. The elderly inkeeper can't. The reality is that the inn is dirty, musty, cluttered, and not kept up. Stay anywhere else.

What a great experience and truly a step back in time. The staff is great, going above and beyond, and such a pleasant stay. The rooms are spacious and representative of historic era. This is definitely going to stay memorable and a special stay. If you read the other reviews and you come across the guy with 1 star bashing this… it seems he was expecting a modern stay at a 5 star W. If you’re looking for something unique with absolute historic charm and a one of a kind stay, I highly recommend this location.

The owner did not knew that pay at the property from ******* was available. He try to charge my card days before my arrival. The parking lot was unsafe lot of ice not cleaned. Room was old and the shower as well. Bedding sheet smell like was on the closet for years. The breakfast was amazing however only after 8:15 so i only enjoyed one time. The rest of the time i had to leave earlier than the breakfast. Very sad. The prices were like a updated hotel but it was nothing like that. I wish i can have back at least half of my money. I left a day earlier because all this.

Like Grandma's House, but better! I loved my stay at the Noon-Collins Inn! Lew Ripley, the proprietor, was absolutely delightful! Is this a new and updated place? No, but it was so cozy and nice! It's all the best things about staying at Grandma's House except your relatives aren't there (unless, of course, you brought them with you.) Close to many restaurants and bars too. (If it hadn't been 7 degrees when I visited, I might have walked around the town after work!) Breakfast is included. I wasn't able to partake (I had to leave for work earlier than it was served) but Lew made sure I had something to eat before I left anyway! If you are looking for a place to stay in or near Ebensburg, PA, I suggest you choose the Noon-Collins Inn. Say hi to Lew for me!
