Came here with my husband to visit my hometown so I know the area very well. Best location to stay and explore and with all the new changes to downtown. However, even though location is good I will never stay again. I wouldn’t call it a hotel but more motel. It was on the better side though (cute) I would say. Definitely the hotel cost way more than is should. There’s an additional $20 that they say is for wifi/renting bikes/24 hr lobby/yoga mats/indoor and outdoor games/live music/gym/parking/discounts at certain stores of downtown in which they don’t even know of or which ones they are. However, I didn’t use any of that so I pretty much used up $20 ok nothing. If it was part of the hotel price itself then ok I understand but a separate charge for these amenities is ridiculous. When you look at the hotel photos you’ll also find that there aren’t photos of the bathrooms and kind of understandable. Bathroom wasn’t too bad but also not in the best condition (definitely could use remodeling).

The Oxbow Hotel is a very convenient place to stay with plenty of safe parking and within walking distance of downtown and the rivers. The bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet at night despite my room being on the road. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food at the Lakely looked amazing. Drinks are good too. A very enjoyable stay!

This is a super unique, fun boutique hotel. We called before booking online and they were happy to match the online price I had found. We had car trouble on the way and called to make sure we would still be able to check in after midnight and they were super accommodating and asked if we were ok after dealing with a flat tire. Upon checking in, the hostess showed explained how each room has a eecord player and we were able to pick out a record to bring up to the room. So fun! The room was really nice, kind of loft/apartment- like but had trendy upgrades. The bed was actually more comfortable than most hiltons that we normally stay at!! We wish we could've gotten in earlier in the night so we could enjoy the outdoor sitting area woth love music and handmade cocktails. Definitely recommend this hotel!!

This was our second stay at the Oxbow. We are from Columbus, Ohio and were visiting Minnesota and Wisconsin. We came through on our way home. Stayed there once before and like the uniqueness of the hotel and the area. Therefore we decided to stop again. It did not disappoint. Very nice room, clean and nicely decorated. Liked the furniture. The bed was very comfortable.

Plenty of space, very large bed, wonderful atmosphere. Head and shoulders above other hotels in this price range. Had a record players and a selection of record rentals.

Awesome location near Eau Claire’s cute bridge filled downtown, helpful very understanding staff. Great hammock situation. Great record selection. Clean room. Can’t wait to head back on a weekend to catch some tunes, and also ride one of their rental bikes!!

We had the absolute BEST time! The staff was top tier and made me feel welcomed and special! My husband and I came to Eau Claire to celebrate my 40th birthday and came across The Oxbow on a booming site and we were not disappointed! This is a MUST stay and a MUST return type of hotel! The beds were comfortable, the rooms were quaint and clean, the staff was welcoming and informative! Probably one of, if not the best hotel stay we’ve EVER had!

We stayed one night. It was clean, bed and pillows were comfortable, the toiletries were great. We enjoyed the record player in the room. The staff at hotel and restaurant were friendly and very good. It was just what we wanted and more than we expected. Thank you Oxbow hotel and Lakely restaurant.
