I enjoy my stay at this hotel, with free parking and basketball court available, definitely will come back again for my next trip..

So, it was decent years and years ago but now it is very run down, dirty and just a bit of a dump, much better options in the immediate area for the money. Even worse the pool is now permanently closed and being taken out, between it being terribly run down and having no pool for my kids, I will never stay here again and they still are charging a premium price, this is like a $99 a night hotel. I liked how they have 2 bedroom suites but will just get 2 rooms instead for a bit more at one of the newer properties as there are many newer hotels in the immediate area that are way nicer, try the fairfield inn if you read this, 100% nicer. I am attaching a picture of my bathroom door, it is almost funny, the door didn't open I guess and hit the toilet, so someone expertly carved out the door to the shape of the toilet so it could open - this is pretty much all I need to say for what is going on at this hotel - stay away!

Residence Inn by Marriott Syracuse Carrier Circle is conveniently located near Interstates 298 and 90 (New York State Thruway). This multi-complex townhouse style hotel is located just two miles from Syracuse Hancock International Airport. Complimentary breakfast available with average quality fare but with limited selection. No on-site restaurant. Two or three dining establishments are located within walking distance. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable. Main lobby was clean but complex exterior walkways had assorted trash and garden waste at the time of my stay. The building complex walkways also had several discarded beverage containers and one pizza box laying about. The respective box contained discarded pizza and was feasted upon by two squirrels. After arriving in my suite, I was notified by front desk staff by room phone that the prior guest witnessed a bat in the suite. I was asked if I would like to change rooms to which I agreed. I was provided with a neighboring king guest suite (not an upgrade but equivalent room). Guest suite kitchen drawer handles were loose and one handle pulled completely away from the cabinetry. With the exception of oven, full kitchen available in guest suites. The guest suite carpeting was worn and kitchen tile chipped. The guest bathroom tub was quick to fill as the drain was notably slow. Several fruit flies were apparent in the suite. Guest WiFi was notably slow. Overall, the guest room was average but furnishings were worn and dated. Guest bathroom sink and vanity are located in bedroom suite, separate from shower stall and toilet. Fitness center located in the center of the complex is clean and has basic yet modern equipment. Exterior swimming pool located in the center of the complex was permanently closed. Center courtyard featured a half-court basketball area. Ample parking available. Traffic noise from busy Route 298 and exit ramps from Interstate 90 is prevalent on sides proximal to the respective roads. Overall sub average experience and I would consider another hotel when visiting the Syracuse area in the future.

This Residence Inn is okay nothing special and needs work. The staff was friendly and helpful to me although they seemed new or not really caring or apologetic of issues that occurred to Marriott returning Elite members. Marriotts website says the rooms are newly reflashed. They are not the rooms are hurting they look old and worn. From what • I saw they only changed a few things like the carpets, cabinet doors, new appliances(that still looked old) and the bathroom floor. That's it they definitely did it on the cheap they should of done the it from the ground up. Our room was very dark with dead lights and lights that just did not work. Our bathroom sink was clogged to. So we went down to the front desk asking if maintenance could come and fix some things. I was told there was no maintenance on property but I could have the tool to unclogged the sink. I sad no that's not right to have me do it(I am above a Elite member). So we got another room again this room was very dark but everything did work. It was missing the TV remote but I got one at the desk. I guess my point is this hotel has a big maintenance issue and I would say some issues without staff on how they treat returning members. The hotel is old and it shows and a lack of maintenance the place will just continue getting worse. It was very clean and did not have any bad smells. The location is okay it's not fair to the city, stores, SU but there is nothing to do around the hotel grounds. Being said stay at this hotel if you want a big room some kitchen amenities but don't expect a true Marriott experience or service and a badly renovated room.

Booked via Marriott for 101$US GOV rate for 1 night. Checked in around 7PM after dinner with friends, and was provided a large room with queen bed, sofa /living room area, LCD swiveling TV, large kitchen area with table, and good bathroom. Although the room was nice, the grounds inside the courtyard seemed a bit unattended. Pool area was not particularly clean, as with the tennis court. There is a small gym on premise with a few older equipments. Breakfast area was standard, clean, and menu was typical eggs, toast, cereals but they had biscuit and gravy that morning. Decent stay for the price.

As a platinum member, this was the worse Marriott property I have ever stayed in. The room was filthy, especially the bathroom. I requested to be moved to another room but was initially told they didn't have any other rooms. The bathroom was fifthly, especially the toilet, table was sticky, and floor was not vacuumed. They sent a very nice young lady to attempt to clean the room; however, she didn't have proper supplies and/or clean linens and could not get the toilet clean. I spoke to the front desk again and they did finally agree to move me to another room. I would stay away from this hotel.

I have never seen a sofa bed this badly laid. Staffs were apologising profusely for what is clearly management fault. The good points are staffs, bad points are everything else than the staffs. Avoid.

Sadly, the worst Resident Inn we have ever stayed at :( Two stars for excellent staff. No stars for the super cold draft through the door and windows that kept us up all night, the lack of travel cribs despite marketing them and us requesting it months ago for our stay, very limited breakfast, dated and dirty rooms.

As a lifetime platinum member this was the worse marriott property I have ever stayed in. Looked liked a run down tenement house, dirty on the outside and not clean on the inside. Dirt on all doorways inside this 2 bedroom unit, dishes were not cleaned, tables dirty and on and on. HPT should take it out of their portfolio, not a marriott. After sending photos to Marriott, I heard back from the Housekeeping Supervisor, must not have a hotel manager, with standard reply, that was not even close to meaningful. Sad, but all true, see pictures.
