The Meadowlark Inn

The Meadowlark Inn is a diamond in the rough. My wife and I agree that we probably would have driven past it ( in fact we did even though we were looking for it) as it's a pretty unassuming little place and we are generally chain hotel people. We were coming from the east end of upstate NY and were heading to Cooperstown so we wanted something fairly close and since we are procrastinators most places were booked. We saw the reviews and decided to call. Fortunately there was a room available and we took it. So glad we did. We decided to stay two nights to do Cooperstown one day and the Rail Riders the next. Austin, the owner, made us feel welcomed and was happy to help with any questions we had. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. Large and well stocked. Had a minor glitch with the internet but it was fixed very quickly. The breakfast was wonderful with lost of beverage choices, local fruit and Austin making waffles. He really is a great host and want's to make sure your stay is pleasant. The grounds are great though we didn't take advantage of them. There is a nice big gazebo out back and a fire pit and he's even got a small baseball diamond for the kids to play on as they get a lot of families staying with them whose kids are playing tournaments nearby. I can't recommend The Meadowlark Inn enough. Austin made that part of out trip wonderful!

A quiet place on a quiet street in a quiet town. We stayed at the Meadowlark Inn for our Cooperstown 2024 trip. Austin's little slice of heaven is the place where Unicorns munch on waffles. 1/2 Waffles... Sit by the fire, grill, play whiffle ball... Great host, great location, great fun. Short drive to cooperstown. Thanks for a memorable trip! Ps...Don't forget to use the pee rock!

Five++ star stay! We were in the area for a wedding shower and The Meadowlark Inn was just right. Super clean and comfortable well appointed rooms (wifi, bedside charges, microwave, mini fridge, hairdryer, iron/board, luggage rack) with slider doors (fresh air) to a small back porch. The host is warm and friendly. He made fresh waffles each morning and had breakfast alternatives for the gluten-free among us. Beautiful views and the grounds were lovely and would be a great place to gather with friends and family. At the time of our stay there was: a natural firepit, a gas fire table, sturdy picnic tables, a porch-style swing, a giant Adirondack chair for photo opps, and a variety of games (ball field, horseshoes, spikeball). Next time we’re in the area, we will definitely stay here!

My husband and I stayed at this motel for lack of hotels available in little Falls. We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, charm, and hospitality of our host,Austin. The room was generous and spotless. Everything we needed was in there. There were lots of charming little details and pieces of artwork. The breakfast in the morning was exceptional, with the host in the small dining room, chatting with everyone and making waffles. also available we're a variety of fresh berries and snacks that could be taken along. The coffee was very good. It felt like being in a Hallmark movie with so many personal touches and quirky charm. if I ever return to Springfield area, I will be sure to stay in Springfield we will return to The Meadowlark Inn again.

We had committments in the area and The Meadowbrook Inn popped up when we searched for a place to stay. We liked the description and photos,and we are both so happy we stayed there. The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast area was bright and inviting. The setting is lovely with extensive grounds that feature tables and chairs,grills , a covered seating area. The facility is very nice and the proprietor,Austin, is even better. He is warm, welcoming, and anxious to help. He gave us several suggestions for nearby restaurants and the one we chose served us a delicious dinner. We can honestly recommend the meadowlark inn looking for a comfortable place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at The Meadowlark Inn. It was very clean and comfortable and only 15 minutes from Cooperstown and 30 minutes from the CooperstownDreams Park. We appreciated being able to control the temperature in our room. We really enjoyed the breakfast and talking to the owner about the area and the attractions. We really loved the waffles. The backyard amenities were great especially the hammocks. We highly recommend this inn and woulf definitely return if we are in the area again! Dan and Candace and girls.

We had a wonderful experience staying here. It was located in a quiet, scenic area that was less than 15 minutes from downtown Cooperstown. We stayed in a single. The room had up-to-date amenities, a large bathroom with a walk-in shower, and it was very clean. Austin was amazing! He was able to answer our questions, offer recommendations for restaurants and attractions, and supplied a delicious complimentary breakfast each morning. We will definitely stay here again. Lovely inn set in Sleepy Hollow! Very comfortable with fridge, micro, AC, coffee maker, hair dryer, etc. Austin, the owner goes out of your way to accommodate you. Lots of choices for breakfast. About 30 minutes to Dreams Park.

Just outside of Cooperstown, minutes from the Glimmerglass Opera and Baseball Hall of Fame, this Hotel and its owner, Austin Bird, offer an “Old School” approach to finding refreshment and greeting guests. The rooms are quiet, impeccably cleaned, supplied with what you need - including strong WiFi - and each has a quiet place to sit outside overlooking a grassy field. Mr Bird is a charming host who is genuinely interested in conversation and with his knowledge of the area, is a source of ideas and information about the many things to do and see in Cooperstown. This is a great place to stay, whether only once or for multiple visits. If the Meadowlark is booked, ask Mr Bird about his other hotel, the Hayden Creek Inn, just a few minutes down the road. Highly recommend both.
