I never write reviews, and not usually a fan of B&Bs, but this deserves some comments... We had the large king bedroom upstairs. Recently remodeled. Huge with attached bathroom. Tastefully done. Beautiful Amish furniture. Squeaky clean, and super comfortable bed. Breakfast was terrific. Great eggs, bacon, yogurt with berry reduction, and good coffee The hosts are a retired couple, and very, very nice. The home is a couple of miles out of town. Spectacular views I would go out of my way to stay there again. A surprise treat on our recent trip to Vermont!

I loved my stay at the High Hill Inn. I was traveling solo on route further north and it was the perfect overnight. I preferred staying there hands down to a sterile chain hotel. I plan to return again. If you want a personalized welcoming stay in an authentic home situated in a beautiful slice of nature in Vermont, I highly recommend. Ann-Marie and Joe were warm, extremely welcoming and made me feel completely at home, gave me suggestions where to go and cooked a wonderful homemade breakfast (which is fun as I met other nice travelers). I was located on the top third floor which I had all to myself. It was peaceful. I had a private bathroom a main area a separate bedroom area and a balcony (note I There is a low ceiling into bedroom area you had to be mindful of and V ceiling in bedroom since it’s top floor space but I didn’t mind -to me it made it unique and found the private upstairs so peaceful). The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom included a hairdryer, soaps, shampoo. I spent time walking the backyard and just sitting in the grass looking at the scenery. Such a break from commuter office work! The side streets from front door pretty and quiet if you like to walk. I also liked that it was short drive to the main street of Montpelier which I really enjoyed. Different stores and various shops that were fun to go in and out of (artist store, various restaurants, bookstore and many others). I highly recommend a stay here.

The Inn is in a lovely spot only a few minutes' drive from downtown Montpelier. The views from the property are gorgeous. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed with hand crafted furniture, and very comfortable with a king bed and large bath. The windows overlooked the mountains and gave us a beautiful, lingering sunset view. All the linens were absolutely top shelf. Hosts Ann-Marie and Joe Dixon were welcoming and lively, and we enjoyed conversations with them. Our full breakfast included homemade berry compote and local artisanal bread. My husband and I agreed that High Hill Inn is one of the loveliest B&B's we have ever stayed in.

A wonderful inn. The hosts/owners of the inn, Joe and Ann Marie, could not have been more gracious and helpful. Our room on the second floor was large, beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. Very comfortable king size bed. Bathroom with 2 sinks was modern and pristine with a lovely shower. Peace and tranquility at every step. The views from our room were wonderful and the atmosphere quiet and private. Don’t miss the superb breakfasts prepared by Joe each morning. I highly recommend this inn. Marge Pothier Brookline, MA

Our experienced hosts, Ann-Marie and Joe, made our stay a delight. Prior to our visit, Ann-Marie was accessible to work out details unique to our situation. They accommodated us every day with a wonderful filling breakfast as promised on the website. They provided us a cozy comfortable room with a spectacular Vermont view. Our kids, who also live in Vermont, visited us and enjoyed the lovely outdoors with the family goats and kitties. As travelers who have stayed in a variety of places in the U.S., Europe, and Japan, High Hill more than met our expectations. Joe and Ann-Marie, thank you for the extra touches and taking care of us during our stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay. Joe and Ann-Marie’s hospitality. Our room was beautiful and breakfast was outstanding. The scenery was always a delight to wake up to with views of the mountains and the country roads were very pleasant for a walk. Access to Burlington and Montpelier was very convenient. We highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely small inn with very friendly owners. Very clean and comfortable. Only issue was that if you stay on the top floor the ceiling is very low. Make sure you spend some time outside, looking at the scenery and probably several deer as well on the property.

My husband and I had an amazing visit to High Hill Inn, AnnMarie and Joe are wonderful. They provided us with a lot of information of where to eat, sights to see. We are animal lovers and both mornings when we woke up there were deer in the field! We loved seeing the baby play. It is peaceful at High Hill Inn. Breakfast was great! Thanks again AnnMarie and Joe for a wonderful visit.

Want the best of both worlds - rural and city? Then you need to stay at High Hill Inn. Located on 47 acres of gorgeous land, you'll get to watch, from your room, the deer grazing in the evening and early morning. And yet, in 10 minutes, you can be in downtown Montpelier! Our room had some of the softest linens I've ever encountered (both sheets and towels). The breakfasts in the morning are varied, but if you're lucky, you'll hit the morning that Joe cooks French toast, made from thick slices of bread from a local bakery, along with Vermont maple syrup and his homemade berry reduction sauce. Added bonus, meeting the two yard cats and the two goats.
